A standing-style udon place great for a fast, affordable meal. The noodles are thick and chewy, and the broth worthy of not leaving any left in the bowl. You can get a variety of tempura as well, and even if you stack up on various pieces, the price is still good. Definitely worth your time if you’re in the area.

This is a stand up restaurant providing udon and tempura. Top 100 as per tabelog. Near the gate is a vending machine to order, very friendly for non-Japanese speaker. Every food is super affordable here. The 1500JPY set is with extremely large portion and I die die cannot finish it due to the portion :(. Both the cold and warm udon are great here . I have visited three time during my 9-day stay. No wonder 百名店 desu. Highly recommended!

Decent food. My partner (white) and I (Chinese singaporean) were a bit concerned about the “no foreigner” bad reviews at first, but it was along our way so we decided to check it out anyway. Staff is very friendly and order is seamless with the order machine. Stand-up noodle bar

Henrik Sensei Time (Best Udon in Hongo?) 30th June (Dinner) , 05th July (Lunch) This is the best Udon I had so far. Honestly SUPER Good. Strongly recommended going. However, this is a fast-food like restaurant and no seat. Meaning you will be standing and eating at the same time also please do not eating like an afternoon tea as many people waiting outside for it *No jokes!. No English menu (Very original), please take a look at my photo and translate yourself in advance. *TLDR* No seat, cash only, fast peace. They will ask you a sentence in Japanese. I think is asking if you like the chopped ginger.

A standing udon bar—tasty, efficient, affordable. Currently my favourite udon place around Hongo. As a UTokyo student, this place is perfect for grabbing a quick bite after class. Would totally recommend!! Cash only.
