Homestyle regional Italian plates pair with wine at this breezy, classic bistro with a terrace.

Tanta Roba is an Italian restaurant established on March 29, 1999. A small trattoria facing Harimazaka, a beautiful cherry-tree-lined street in Koishikawa, Bunkyo. We always carefully select fresh ingredients and bring you homestyle Italian cuisine, focusing on regional dishes from across Italy. Please feel free to ask about wine pairings and more. We hope to be a place where smiles gather, adding color to meals with close friends or loved ones.

The meal was Italian but with a Japanese twist. It was a 7 course set menu due to the extra demand created by the sakura-matsu right outside. Food was excellent, the staff was excellent 👍

The best Italian place we’ve been to in Japan. My family visits Japan two weeks a year and we always come back to Tantaroba. The chef’s course set is an incredible way to experience the freshest ingredients expertly prepared . Mouth watering courses will satiate your appetite. Visit, enjoy, you won’t be disappointed.

It was a challenging place for those with multiple chemical sensitivity. The moment I stepped in, it smelt like fabric softeners all over; I had noticed that table clothes and table mattresses are being washed with scented washing liquids, and was not an environment in which I was able to enjoy eating. Although it’s a non-smoking establishment, I would not go there again.

I love Tanta Roba! My favorite Italian restaurant in Tokyo, hands down. The pasta is always al dente and their focaccia is amazing. I try to go once a week but I'd go there every day if I could.
