Visited because I was craving meat so badly I'd just recovered from being sick and wanted to splurge Premium salted tongue Sagari That's what I ordered With hot oolong tea The oolong tea is cheap A lot of nonalcoholic drinks cost as much as alcohol lately, so that's nice Grilled it carefully and wanted to eat more I was told not to get the underside of the tongue because that would be doubling up on tongue So I got mid-grade loin Then finished with kimchi The tongue was to die for Maybe I could have chosen slightly cheaper options for the others I thought I might have been just as satisfied〜 Well, it was cheap for yakiniku

A yakiniku restaurant in Hongo-sanchome. It's at the Hongo-sanchome intersection, an incredibly convenient location. Visited around 19:00 on a weekday. We had no reservation, but it was fine. The building itself definitely shows its age, but the restaurant interior is very clean. The meat quality isn't particularly outstanding, but I think it's very good value. The very homey atmosphere was also nice.

Ueno/Okachimachi/Akihabara gets crowded on weekends, right? At times like that, I think Kasuga-dori is often overlooked 丸興園 always feels relaxing whenever I go~ They don't serve water here, and you have to order a drink so I get “mineral water”. They open at 17:00, but when I go there are usually about 2 groups already eating. There are 2 seats for solo diners, and those are usually empty. It's not hectic at all, and you can really relax here😛

We were short on time, so we looked for a nearby yakiniku restaurant and ended up here. It seemed to be run by a married couple. It had a homey feel, and the wife chatted with us warmly. They also gave us something extra. The meat was delicious too. For 3 men, with large servings of rice, a kimchi set, salad, a karubi set, and no alcohol or drinks, it was around 7,500円. It was delicious, so I'd like to go again.
