We really enjoyed! It’s not 100% Russian cushion, but tasty! Pirojki were very good. Especially with kabocha. Russian coffee was super tasty (it’s coffee glacé). Staff were nice!

Enjoyed a lot, both the food and the atmosphere were on point! Had it bookmarked for a few years and now feeling sad that I had never visited earlier.. but will definitely come back for lunch some other time 😊

As someone else wrote, the madame's detailed corrections of the male staff member, sometimes scolding, do tire the customers a bit. But it's not to the point where the atmosphere is tense. Maybe she's holding back a little after reading the reviews? Or the staff has gotten better and the scolding has decreased? Some say the borscht and piroshki aren't authentic, but those people can just go to a place that serves the real thing; I think this restaurant's tomato-soup-style borscht is plenty tasty. For piroshki I chose the ground meat one, but there are also full-on dessert-style variations, and the group of women at the next table all seemed to be having fun choosing. I walked from Sengoku Station on the Toei Subway, but wherever you walk from, it's a fair distance. Some people dropped by on the way back from Koishikawa Botanical Garden, and there seem to be many local customers too; it's a down-to-earth place. I thought it was quite good.
