I visited 「もんじゃはる 上野湯島店」 in a corner of the lively 御徒町・湯島 area. This time I enjoyed a course including monjayaki, okonomiyaki, and yakisoba, and was amazed by its excellent value: under 5,000円 with all-you-can-drink included. You cook the food yourself, but that makes it all the more lively and fun, and the authentic flavors left me very satisfied. The staff were extremely polite and kind, and their wonderful service made for a comfortable visit. Another major attraction is the generous 2-and-a-half-hour time limit. I felt this was an excellent-value restaurant where you can freely enjoy food and conversation with friends.

Located in a corner of 上野's entertainment district and open until morning. The interior isn't very spacious, but the food is delicious ^_^

A place I really want monja lovers to try! 「もんじゃ はる 上野湯島店」 is a clean teppanyaki restaurant with the warmth of an old downtown neighborhood. The scallops are plump and sweet, releasing juicy umami when grilled. The chicken seseri is tender too, with just the right amount of fat, and goes perfectly on the griddle!🔥 The monja to finish is packed with cheese, and the fragrant sauce is irresistible♡ It's perfect when you want to “relax and eat delicious monja” in the 上野・湯島 area✨ It's become one of my nearby dining options!

The curry monja left a really strong curry smell on me. But the curry flavor whets your appetite. Apparently, once someone orders it, other tables start ordering curry monja too. The extra garlic comes in a large amount, so I'd suggest not ordering too much at once. The staff advised us not to drink too much of the matcha milk cocktail because you can't taste the alcohol! Sure enough, you end up drinking it like juice. They're open until 8 in the morning, so it's fine to go late! The blonde woman on the staff was really lovely, which made it fun.

We'd only had something light at our first stop, so I felt like some flour-based food and came in. I added pork to the mentaiko monja to make it more lavish, and it was incredibly delicious. What personally surprised me was that the raw oysters were huge, and you got 5 for under 1000円! So cheap! lol I'd like to go again.
