They do not accept foreigners. I just went to this restaurant at 19:00 and I was rebutes saying it is closed. Right after me a japanese gentleman entered and got food. I loved Japan so far and I did not expect such bad expérience. It is a real shame
View on GoogleI visited on an acquaintance's recommendation. It's a homey place to enjoy delicious seasonal Japanese cuisine. With the chef-owner's easygoing manner and dependable skills, plus his wife's friendly service and thoughtful attention, this place is a real find. The sashimi was fresh. If I'd had room, I would have liked to try the sanma too...
View on GoogleThe words “Japanese cuisine...” in the restaurant's name made it sound formal, but inside it's a relaxed izakaya with delicious food. Both the dishes that let the ingredients speak and those with more preparation were delicious. A welcoming place.
View on GoogleWanting to explore places around here, I tried this highly reviewed spot. It turned out to be absolutely the right choice. Every dish was delicious, and the prices were quite reasonable. What magnificent asparagus they served! The mochi kinchaku was wonderfully flavorful with dashi, and the generously cut sashimi was excellent too. The chef-owner looks intimidating at first, but he's very friendly. I'll definitely be back. If I could ask for more, I'd love a choice of whisky for the highballs and the option to use electronic money.
View on GoogleIt's in a location that's difficult for most Koreans to reach, but if you want an izakaya with a local atmosphere near Tokyo Dome, Kasuga, or Gorikuen, I highly recommend it. It serves as an after-work gathering place for locals, and 99.9% of the customers are locals. The food focuses on fresh fish. If you don't understand the menu, just ask for a recommendation (osusume), and they'll kindly suggest something, so don't worry and enjoy the local vibe! However, smoking is allowed indoors, so if you dislike cigarette smoke, I recommend somewhere else! 😊
