Set meals are nice. Portions are generous in comparison to the price tags.
View on GoogleTheir Beef Tongue set is out of this world!!! Will be coming here again!
View on GoogleThe staff was so kind and thoughtful despite the immediate language barrier: when I ordered extra rice they did make sure it was not in error - I did get more gohan, because I wanted one with egg to scramble with soy sauce! The beef tongue stew was soooo tender, and it was out of this world. My mother also had the salt grill mackerel set, which was tender, fatty, and on grilled delightfully. They also served the draft kirin in a chilled pint glass, which was PRIME. Note that they are cash only, and their ordering system is via QR code for an English friendly menu that did unfortunately need an extra bit of help from Google translate for the drinks section. Lol.
View on Google【In short】 A canteen centered on the counter in Nezu where you can enjoy set meals of kettle rice and large croquettes 【Usage scene】 ・Purpose of use: Lunch alone, set meal use while walking around Nezu ・Budget: About 1,500 yen - 2,000 yen 【Evaluation points】 ■ Taste: ・Kobe beef 29-hour croquettes have volume with 2 large pieces. There is a freshly fried feeling, and you can feel the deliciousness of beef centered on potatoes. ・Kettle rice had grains and shine, but this time the temperature was a bit gentle, and the sense of unity with raw egg rice might be divided in preference. ■ Customer service・Service: ・Ordering uses the LINE friend registration method, it might feel a little troublesome if you are not used to it. ・Payment is cash only. ■ Atmosphere・Facilities: ・Inside the shop is centered on the counter and a calm canteen atmosphere. ・Visit before lunch on a weekday, previous customers are about half. Impression that it is easy to enter even alone. 【Practical information (crowding・cost performance etc)】 ・Crowding status: No waiting before lunch on a weekday. Lunch peak is unknown. ・Reservation: It doesn't seem mandatory for lunch use, but details are unknown. ・Cost performance: There is a number of items and volume of set meals, but since it is 1,600 yen, it depends on the expectations for the content. ・Price range: Kobe beef 29-hour croquette 2 pieces & ultimate egg set meal 1,600 yen ・Access: Along the street in the Nezu area. The yellow set meal sign is a marker.
View on GoogleToday I got off at Nezu to go to Ueno Zoo. Since it was almost my first time coming to Nezu, I had no knowledge of the land at all, so I decided to have lunch at a shop I saw along the street as soon as I got out of Nezu Station. It seemed to be the 11:30 opening time, so I was able to enter as the first customer. Inside the shop is a Japanese space, and it is very convenient because there are various types of seats such as counters, tables, horigotatsu, and half-private rooms. The lunch menu is very rich and I was very confused. Today I chose the following from the daily set meal and the top 5 set meals. ■ Buri nanban pickles & real tuna sashimi & croquette (1,700 yen) It was my first time eating buri nanban pickles, but it was more delicious than I thought. Thick meat and acidity go well together. The croquette is also very delicious, and tuna is also included, it is a quite luxurious set meal. ■ Moon tsukune cheese grilled set meal (1,800 yen) It is said to be a popular menu, but honestly it is very different from the menu photo. The tsukune is also small, and it was a bit disappointing compared to other set meals. ■ Beef tongue stew set meal simmered for 6 hours (1,800 yen) A set meal that feels profitable with melting beef tongue spread all over the iron plate. It goes great with rice. Everything is freshly cooked kettle rice, and the rice was very delicious. I think it's a bit expensive for lunch, but the beef tongue stew set meal simmered for 6 hours is highly recommended. As a set meal restaurant where you can drink, it is also suitable for people who like alcohol. Since it is close to the station, I don't think there is any loss in knowing it.
