For last year’s end-of-year dinner, we chose Ryotei Kinsui for its Muslim-friendly take on traditional Japanese cuisine. While researching restaurants, I was immediately impressed by how clearly their Muslim-friendly services were explained on their English website, making it easy and accessible for both non-Japanese-speaking residents and tourists. Upon arriving at the hotel, the experience exceeded expectations. The classic, nostalgic Western-style interior felt warm and familiar, reminiscent of my grandmother’s home. The property itself is spacious and elegant, and we were warmly welcomed in the lobby before being escorted to our private dining room. Inside, we were presented with a seven-course kaiseki menu, thoughtfully written in English. Each course was clearly explained, including details about the halal meat prepared specifically for our dinner. When the meal began, everything was exactly as hoped. Portions were perfectly balanced, flavors were delicate yet satisfying, the pacing was seamless, and the service reflected the highest standard of Japanese hospitality. A delightful surprise awaited us after dinner: a Japanese garden show that began about ten minutes after we finished. We’re especially grateful to the staff for informing us as we were getting ready to go home. Otherwise, we would have missed this beautiful experience entirely. Overall, Ryotei Kinsui is an excellent choice for a special occasion with loved ones, especially if you’re looking for refined Muslim-friendly dining in Tokyo. Be sure to book in advance so the kitchen can prepare your meal accordingly.
View on GoogleAmazing. Simply amazing. We booked a special dinner for me and my wife. They sent our host/waitress to meet us at the door. We had a private room for just the two of us. It was a traditional kaiseki style meal where you get small dishes for the meal. With added unlimited rice near the end. If you want an experience you won't forget, this is the place. After our meal we toured their garden which is also divine.
View on GoogleVery impressive kaiseki along the traditional garden at Hotel Chinzanso. Private room in the multi story restaurant with view of the river. Favorites were the otoro sashimi with ponzu gelee, Wagyu, and the braised sea bream. Excellent service.
