We’ve eaten a lot of incredible beef at excellent restaurants throughout Japan, but this place stands out as one of the very best. The quality of the beef was exceptional, and our grill master was absolutely amazing. She was not only friendly and engaging but also cooked every cut to perfection. The chateaubriand had one of the best crusts I’ve ever experienced on a steak, especially for Wagyu, while still maintaining a perfect medium-rare center. We had an incredible time, ate an impressive amount of meat, and left feeling completely full and thoroughly satisfied. Thanks a lot for the great meal.
View on GoogleHeard of this place through social media and it did not disappoint at all. It was a 12 course meal with dessert included and all courses were delicious. The highlight was the delicious chateaubriand steak, but all of the meat was so tender and juicy. They cook the beef for you and give recommmendations for what sauces pair well. Our server was so nice and even gave me a stain removing wipe after I dropped some food on my white skirt 😭🙏 Reservations open 1 month in advance on tablecheck. If you have a special occasion to celebrate in Japan, and are willing to splurge a bit, I highly highly recommend checking this place out.
View on GoogleI reaaaally don’t get the hype around this place, and honestly, the influencer hype must’ve been paid. For a $300+ bill, the setup is honestly kind of a joke. Cramped counter seating with a dive-bar, college-bar vibe, like that’s supposed to feel premium. The night before I had omakase in a private room with a modern interior, so the contrast was pretty brutal…. And to top it off, the food quality still doesn’t justify the price. The other reviewer is correct in that tongue tip is the cheapest meat cut. It kinda threw me off that they were calling tongue tip a “premium cut.” Anyone who knows tongue meat knows the tip is usually the less premium part — firmer, leaner, and chewier than the base. The marinade was way too salty and sweet, and it completely overpowered the meat. A few pieces in, it just got old. Hours later I was still crazy thirsty, and I definitely wasn’t as full or satisfied as I expected to be. At 22k yen per person, I expected a more well balanced meal. For Wagyu, it’s already super heavy and fatty but they had No carbs to balance out the food, and used very heavy seasoning. I’d rather have spent the money somewhere else — tbh, NYC has better wagyu meals for the same price. And don’t be fooled by the pics I just attached - food looks good but I left feeling not fully satisfied. I should’ve been stuffed to the brim but was able to eat more food afterwards (lmao, I also might be a fatass)
View on GoogleMade a mistake by not ordering the course menu beforehand. Hence we were left with ala carte menu. What we didn't realize is that not ordering course menu comes with additional service discrimination. One of the lady staff we encounter wasn't even willing to cook the beef even though she was standing in front of us (counter seating). It was only until when we asked how to cook and how many minutes that the other lady staff helped us to cook. The 2nd lady staff is much more kind to us by not only cooking for us but also engaging in small talks. I do believe that service in a restaurant goes a long way. I do accept the fact that I made the mistake of not ordering the course menu beforehand and hence am left to order from the limited ala carte menu. But service discrimination is definitely not appreciated. PS thank you very much to the 2nd lady for still looking after us which somewhat salvage the entire experience.
View on GoogleThe chateaubriand tasting ruined us for the rest of our lives. How are we supposed to eat beef ever again? Nearly every single course was mind blowing. We will definitely be back here. The service is also very good.
