This good man showed us all the processing. He cut the fresh fish, the seafood, the ingredients and then served us with his son. Wonderful Japanese experience in a bamboo restaurant, like on the movies!

This is not a real Japanese Sushi.

Disappointed...

The clear soup is delicious. The sushi rice is moist and on the soft side, but tasty. The person who seems to be the head chef is wearing a T-shirt. It's not a restaurant with a dress code, so I'm not expecting anything in particular, but somehow it's disappointing.

There are counter seats and tatami seating. The head chef is a great conversationalist, the snacks are delicious, the nigiri is wonderful, and the prices are reasonable. They have some good sake too. The selection of sushi toppings is small, but there are delicious seasonal ones. The previous head chef was fantastic when it came to snacks, nigiri, sake, and conversation. I went a few times after the head chef changed, but it was so bad that I don't feel like going anymore. Very disappointing…
