I first visited this restaurant because I was invited by an Indian friend, and it is also conveniently located near the University of Tokyo Hongo campus. Honestly, it exceeded my expectations. The portions are very generous and the food is really delicious. They offer personal set menus that can be served with naan or rice, as well as a wide variety of à la carte items such as fried chicken, onion rings, shrimp rolls, and more. One thing I really liked is that this place is not limited to Indian food only. They also serve other Asian dishes, including Thai green curry, Vietnamese pho, Indonesian fried rice, and more, which makes it a great option when dining with a group that has different preferences. I ordered the cheese naan, and it was amazing, highly recommended. It goes perfectly with the butter chicken curry, which was rich, creamy, and very satisfying. The original naan was also very good. Because the portions were so large, my friend and I shared two naan breads and still couldn’t finish everything, so we ended up taking some home. Very filling and satisfying. I also tried the vegetarian mixed vegetables curry, and it was surprisingly flavorful. It’s not bland at all, still rich, savory, and full of spices, so I think it’s a great option even for people who don’t usually prefer vegetarian dishes. The staff were friendly, the restaurant is spacious and comfortable, and considering the portion sizes, I think the prices are reasonable. I really enjoy coming here with friends when I’m craving something cheesy, rich, and savory, like cheese naan and butter chicken curry. However, it might feel a bit heavy for those who prefer lighter flavors, such as typical Japanese cuisine. Overall, a very satisfying experience, and I would definitely come back.

High 4 stars for another Nepali place. Location's a bit tricky, and Google Maps wasn't so helpful, but I found it. That's probably why the prices are a bit lower, because it's a nice atmosphere and a good menu. Seating layout looks especially flexible for groups. Curry is slightly thick, but do it yourself spiciness is tricky if you can't assess the sauce. Today's special was a chicken cheese, which was unusual but tasty. The naan was on the slightly sweet side. I see this as review number 157.

Short version: Very friendly staff and decent curry sets at a good price in a nondescript location. If you want a full lunch and drink set for under 1000¥, this place would not be a bad pick. Full version: The daily special was chicken and lentil, which happens to be some of my favourite food, and it had good flavour and was even pleasantly a little spicy (although still not very spicy. It’s Japan, after all). The naan was large and filling, and the salad was flavourful, but the rice was a little disappointing — a small bowl domestic short-grain Japanese rice when I was hoping for some a big bowl of lovely long and fluffy Basmati grains. However, that was made up for by a light and refreshing (ie not too sugary) mango lassi as my drink choice for the set. The interior was pretty on par for a Nepali or Indian restaurant in Japan, which is neither a compliment nor an insult. It just is the way it is. Given the small entryway though, the space does open up like a pocket dimension, and I’m pretty sure they could fit some large groups in. Most importantly for me, I did feel welcomed and treated well on my first visit here though, which greatly improves the chance I’ll be back. Overall, the great value is what keeps this a solid 4 star I think. I’m a sucker for a good deal, and this definitely felt like a good deal.
