I came from France for my first trip to Japan, and a Japanese friend invited me to this establishment. I have absolutely no regrets. I ate dishes I never would have thought of eating, and everything was delicious….. from the daikon salad to the “tsukuné” chicken meatballs. We arrived late, and the team was very kind to us. The sake served was very good; the alcohol was skillfully worked and incorporated with a sweet note…..I thank my Japanese friend for this discovery, and I thank the restaurant team for this delicious meal. Thank you very much.

I enjoyed yakitori and sake at “Yamadori HANARE” in Yushima. Particularly memorable was the “Limited-quantity tsukune with foie gras.” The tender tsukune combined with the rich umami of foie gras for a melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. The fragrant charcoal aroma and luxurious richness of the fat were perfectly balanced, and the limited availability added a special touch, making it a skewer that truly felt like a treat. The shiitake skewers were thick and meaty too, combining juiciness with a roasted aroma and reminding me of the appeal of vegetables. The other skewers were also seasoned and grilled just right, and you could tell each dish was carefully prepared. The staff recommended sake to suit my preferences, and it paired wonderfully with the yakitori. The interior is calm with the warmth of wood, and watching the grill from across the counter is enjoyable too. Prices are somewhat high, but justified by the quality of the food and service. It felt like a grown-up hideaway I'd want to visit on a special occasion.

I wanted to eat around Yushima, so I made a same-day reservation and visited. The restaurant was full and lively. The food was good overall. The yakitori pieces were large and satisfying. There are love hotels nearby, so I don't think it's suitable for bringing small children or for a date. For lively drinks with close friends, I think it's a good, reasonably priced place.
