It is along the main road just east of Rikugien, about a 5-minute walk from Komagome Station. The curry is made without wheat flour or store-bought roux, using onions and more than 19 types of spices. The staff were 2 women who looked Indian, but their Japanese was good. There are 4 curries: とりもも肉カリー(ホット), 牛キーマカリー(フルーティー), ラム肉カリー(ホット), and 牛スネのカリー. This time I chose とりもも肉カリー(ホット). Since it said hot, I imagined it would be really spicy, but surprisingly the heat was restrained—gentle, even—and easy to eat. The chicken thigh was fall-apart tender and delicious too.
View on GoogleAdvertised as wellness curry, this is spiced curry that is gluten-free and cooked without oil. The owner originally started in Kayabacho, where the restaurant had high Tabelog ratings and was regularly selected for Hyakumeiten, but apparently sold the business, recipes and all. Just when I was thinking what a shame that was, I heard they had reopened here near their home. First visit since the move The restaurant was much bigger and more stylish than before. Today I ordered ラム肉カリー(ホット). The owner wasn't there, and 2 Asian women wearing headscarves were running things. When I asked later, I was told the owner would be coming tomorrow. My first wellness curry in ages, and it was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the aroma of the spices, and the chunky lamb was juicy too. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI had ラム肉カレー. The distinctive lamb aroma doesn't stand out. For someone who likes that really meaty quality of lamb, it may be too subdued, but for Japanese tastes it probably feels easy to eat. The spices are balanced too, with a flavor that anyone would find delicious. The menu says hot, but it doesn't feel all that hot. Anyway, it has a refined finish, so it's a good place to bring someone.
View on GoogleOn my way back from Rikugien, I spotted this place and went in, drawn by its promising atmosphere. Apparently it carries on the flavors of a restaurant that made curry in Kayabacho for 17 years, and has been in Komagome for about 1 and a half years. After debating and asking for recommendations, I went with ラム肉カレー for 1400円, including salad. Really simple, with no strong quirks or unnecessary odor, and delicious! Exactly the kind of good flavor that seems good for your body! There is a faint lamb aroma, with some pieces simmered tender and other chunky pieces deliberately retaining their texture. The salad served first is lettuce and cherry tomatoes, simply dressed with olive oil and salt! I'm the type who always ends up with rice left over, but there was plenty of curry sauce, so it was just right. The rice was delicious too; overall, it was simple and easy to eat. 11時半 to 14時 (closed only on public holidays)
View on GoogleI had the chicken thigh curry. This place is delicious! It features depth in its spices and sweetness. Maybe it's because it's gluten-free—I don't know why—but after eating, my stomach and body just feel lighter. Recommended♪
