We came here for dinner for a change of pace from all the rich and sweet Japanese food on our trip. While this place can’t compare to the Vietnamese restaurants of San Jose or Southern California, we appreciated that you can find some variation of Vietnamese food in Tokyo. The food is more homey and the flavors are more muted for the Japanese palate. I appreciate that the tables all have pickled garlic, which is a traditional garnish for pho. The pho, however, is slightly bland for my taste, and the soup could have been served much hotter. The serving sizes are smaller too, which is probably more a Japanese thing. It’s a very small operation. The man serving us did all the cooking after taking our order, which is impressive! There was another worker that came later. Both were super friendly and sweet.
View on GoogleI stopped by on my way from a morning stroll through Tokyo parks. It is a lovely place with nice food. The menu is quite long, and it is possible to select between noodle and rice dishes. Also plates of vegetables and meats are available, which makes it great for sharing (2-4 people). The service was simple and clear, and the bun noodles I had were good.
View on GoogleAuthentic Vietnamese food. They have really good banh mi, my Quan tom, and bun bo hue. Excellent Vietnamese coffee. The staff was kind and the restaurant had family style seating. A must eat when you visit Kita City Japan.
View on GoogleSimple neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant. Straightforward menu and reasonably priced. Been here twice and noticed other Vietnamese customers so that can only be a good sign.
View on GoogleFood is terrible. Very oily broth with noodles with two very small pieces of chicken and some rice on the side.
