After four weeks of travelling across Japan and indulging in an extraordinary array of Japanese cuisine, I found myself longing for comfort in pizza. I had known about this place since last year and was eager to discover whether it truly lived up to the acclaim showered upon it by critics and award panels alike. Naturally, I chose the benchmark of any pizzeria: Margherita. The dough was excellent, particularly around the crust, where it achieved that desirable balance of lightness and chew. The mozzarella was pleasant, though not particularly memorable. My main reservation lay with the tomato sauce, whose pronounced acidity overwhelmed the delicate flavour of the cheese rather than complementing it. As for the setting, it felt somewhat conflicted. The refined, upscale décor seemed at odds with the rustic entrance, dominated by the wood-fired oven, and with the restaurant's Neapolitan aspirations. While elegant, the space lacks a sense of identity and warmth. It could benefit from a stronger character, something that better reflects the soul and simplicity of the tradition it seeks to celebrate.

Started with a Caesar salad which was very light and refreshing. Followed it with chicken liver pate that was delicious. For pizza we had diavala which is my favorite and I order whenever I see it on the menu. It didn’t disappoint. Topped it off with a couple of glasses of house white.

We came with 5 minutes before last call on lunch orders. I understand they were closing but after getting our pizza within 5 minutes they kept asking to take our plates. We probably ate 2 slices and started to eat even faster. I didn't see them rush the other tables(there were quite a few) Besides that issue the pizza is very good and reasonably priced. In my opinion the special buffalo mozzarella version of a margherita was not worth ¥2200. Just get the normal version. Drink order per person required. 2 pizzas were enough for two hungry adults.

We very much enjoyed our meal here and will visit again. A few points to improve however: 1. It would be nice for the bread to be served with butter or dipping oil. 2. The steak was a perfect medium rare which is how we like it, but it might be worth it to ask the customers how they want it cooked as people have different preferences.

Walked in, was going to do a sit down but was told we had to each order a food item and drinks. Initially we only just wanted to try the pizza. So we opted for take out just the pizza. The host tried to convince us to stay to dine in but we wanted to eat more food elsewhere and insisted we take it to go. He agrees then we said we wanted the margarita. He says they are sold out of margaritas then proceeded to offer us the Buffalo moz cheese Margarita.... Paid an extra 1000 yen... Walked it back to the hotel in the rain and opened it open it up.. it was a regular margarita. At least it tasted just like a regular margarita, nothing special about it for that big of a difference in pricing... 2500 yen vs 3500 yen... The pizza was good, but I don't see a point to that huge price gap for a tiny simple ingredient that literally tastes the same. I can get the same or better quality in Toronto for less. Wanted to try pizza in Japan, did it and I'm done.
