Such a cute and hidden spot away from the busy part of Tokyo. Delicious quality food and amazing drinks. Must order at least one drink.

View on GoogleVisited a little after 13:00 on a weekday. It seemed the lunch rush had passed, so I could go straight in. I ordered the coconut milk and cashew seafood curry. Both the salad and curry portions were just right, neither too large nor too small. The curry retained a little of the cashews' grainy texture, which went well with the seafood and was delicious! I paid with paypay. The evening menu looks very appetizing, so I'd like to visit again.
View on Google(Visited on March 7, 2024) The “beef tendon hayashi rice with a soft, runny omelet” was delicious I'd known about this restaurant but hadn't had a chance to visit. It's in Edogawabashi's Jizo-dori shopping street. “Bonin Island” in the restaurant's name apparently refers to the Ogasawara Islands. Visited alone on Thursday at 12:34. I think the restaurant was about 50% full. I was shown to a table for 2. I ordered what I'd already decided on: “beef tendon hayashi rice with a soft, runny omelet 1100円.” The salad arrived 3 minutes after ordering. Mostly lettuce, with purple cabbage, carrot, and onion. Crisp, fresh vegetables. The hayashi rice arrived 2 minutes after the salad. The rice was covered with soft, runny egg, topped with plenty of hayashi rice sauce and fresh cream. A happy sight. Perhaps they used about 2 eggs. Plenty of soft, runny egg. Delicious. The hayashi rice sauce had been simmered so thoroughly that the ingredients had broken down. I could identify beef tendon and onion, but perhaps there was something else in it too. The ingredients had almost completely lost their original shape. Delicious. The lunch plate seems popular too. I'm curious what it's like. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleThis restaurant mainly uses ingredients from Ogasawara. I'd been for lunch several times but hadn't had much opportunity to visit at night, so this was my first evening visit. Everything was delicious, including the otoshi appetizer, and I wondered why I hadn't come sooner. The yakisoba emphasized the ingredients' natural flavors and was a little different from what I'd imagined. There are still dishes I haven't tried, so I'd like to visit again soon.
