I visited around 14:30 on a weekday. The inside of the shop was calm and clean. Maybe because of the time, there were no other customers. Since I wanted a light meal, I ordered fried rice with minced pork and takana (1,050 yen including tax). The fried rice is voluminous and quite filling. It's a moist type, but a delicious fried rice that isn't mushy. I thought the pickles, almond tofu, and soup were also of a quite high level. It's not a place I visit often, but a shop I want to enter again. Payment is cash only, so that point needs attention.
View on GoogleI ordered the Hoikoro set meal. The price was about 1050 yen. The volume and taste were more than the price. It was very delicious! For a woman with a small appetite, it might be difficult to finish it. By the way, I eat a normal to slightly large amount, I was able to finish it but towards the end I was full and it was a bit tough. I visited around 11:40 on Saturday. When I entered, there were no other customers, and the food came a few minutes after ordering. After that, as it approached 12 o'clock, the number of customers increased, and I think there were 3 or 4 groups besides me. It took a little courage to enter, but once I entered, there was no discomfort at all even for a woman alone. Moreover, almost all seats had outlets (2 holes) at the feet! My mobile phone battery was dead so it was very helpful. The staff's response was also good and I was satisfied overall. I would like to try other menus next time. Just be careful that the payment method is cash only!
View on GoogleWhen I stopped by the University of Tokyo Hospital, I searched for a Mapo Tofu shop nearby, and this shop came up, so I stopped by. The inside of the shop felt clean, and the service of the female staff was very polite, giving a good impression from the beginning. And the Mapo Tofu which is the core──this is a quality that far exceeds expectations. I didn't expect to meet it so unexpectedly.. The balance between spiciness, numbness, and aroma is exquisite, a deliciousness that impresses with every bite. The volume is also plenty, it really makes me think "it's a waste to eat". Because the price is very reasonable, honestly I didn't expect much, but from the appearance and aroma of the Mapo Tofu, I was convinced "this is a winner". Personally, this is in the top 10 Mapo Tofu I have ever eaten. I am looking forward to my next hospital visit. By the way, at the next table, students who seemed to be University of Tokyo students were discussing some theme, but in the middle, they became excited about the fried rice "the fried rice is delicious". So I am also very curious about the fried rice, but next time I will definitely order Mapo Tofu again.
View on GoogleIt seems to be a shop loved by people related to the University of Tokyo and locals, and when I visited for lunch on Saturday, it was lively with groups of students. Lunch menus are abundant and the reasonable price in the 1000 yen range is helpful. The most popular seems to be Mapo Tofu, almost all customers ordered this. Reading the reviews, it said it was spicy, so I who don't like spicy gave up. I ordered the sweet and sour pork set meal. The hot sweet and sour pork with plenty of ingredients was also colorful and delicious. The crisp onions were also to my taste. Including egg soup with a gentle taste and almond tofu for 1150 yen is reasonable. The Rebanira and Shanghai yakisoba that the customer next to me was eating also looked very delicious, so I want to repeat it again. Payment is cash only, so please be careful.
View on GoogleVisited alone around 11:30 on a weekday. Ordered the sweet and sour pork lunch set. For 1100 yen it includes egg soup, rice, and almond tofu. The batter of the fried pork is crispy and the contrast with the sauce is wonderful. The acidity of the sauce is also just right. This is a normal sweet and sour pork that isn't weird, and I think this is the most delicious one I've ever eaten, the taste and texture were just right. When I entered the shop, it was just me, so it was calm. From 11:50, customers started to increase. There were about 10 lunch menus, so I will visit again. I'm happy to have one more shop to look forward to.
