油そば専門店 ぶらぶら白山店Abura Soba Senmonten Burabura Hakusan Mise
Our concept is "a simple taste you'll never tire of — aburasoba made to each person's liking." A fragrant secret kaeshi (base sauce) made with a generous amount of the finest honkarebushi bonito flakes. Combined with a special oil blended from several premium oils, and special noodles made exclusively for "Burabura's aburasoba" by a long-established noodle maker founded over 50 years ago. Although it's aburasoba, it's not heavy or greasy at all — it's light, clean, gentle, and comforting. People of any age or gender can enjoy it to the very last bite. And a way of enjoying it unique to our shop is the finishing bowl. The Burabura style is to pour the piping-hot soup on the table into your bowl once you've finished the noodles. At the bottom of the bowl, a little…

This noodle restaurant is absolutely fantastic. It's great tasting for great prices. The owner, Takahashi-san is very attentive to his customers and greatly cares about the quality of his food. I will be coming back multiple times throughout my stay here in Tokyo. I can not recommend it enough. Thank you so much!!

View on GoogleA shop right outside Hakusan Station. I remember it used to be a ramen shop before too, but it seems to be a location where places don't last long. Strange. It was around 3 p.m. on a Saturday, so many shops had just ended lunch service, and I reluctantly visited this one. Counter seats only. Cramped. Dim. The partition between the staff area and the customer seats is unusual and feels oppressive. Ordered from a ticket machine that was a little unresponsive. Ordered the signature aburasoba in tokumori (extra-large) size + onsen egg. Exactly 1000 yen. Being able to order up to tokumori for free is much appreciated. The chopped onion and garlic are brought out by staff when served (probably from the fridge). Good, nothing special. You can add as much of the onion and garlic as you like, and there's a good selection of condiments on the table: sauce, vinegar, fish powder, curry powder, chili oil (spicy miso?), etc. The tokumori wasn't an "I'm stuffed!" amount, but for a free size-up like that, it's totally fine. After finishing the noodles, there weren't enough toppings left to order oi-meshi (extra rice), but I was glad to get the chicken broth soup. Satisfying. It made me wonder what that aburasoba shop at Ikebukuro West Exit that I went out of my way to visit was all about… Truly a shop that makes you want to say, "This is all I need.
View on GoogleVisited "油そば専門店 ぶらぶら白山店" in Hakusan. Ordered the kara-shio (spicy salt) aburasoba in tokumori (extra-large) size with an onsen egg. The taste wasn't very good; I'd rate it 2 points. There are two reasons for this. First, the soup lacks sharpness and the overall flavor is vague. Second, the chashu is bad. The meat is thin and has no umami at all. However, there are good points too. The noodles are chewy with a really great texture, addictively delicious. Also, the menma was juicy and flavorful. But if the flavor of the crucial sauce is mediocre, it's pointless. As for service, there's an option to pour broth over the leftover sauce after eating the aburasoba, like tsukemen, which was unusual and interesting, but the taste was nothing special, just ordinary. The table condiments lacked chili oil and black pepper, the standard ones for aburasoba, and perhaps in their place, there were special chili peppers (which seem to only add heat) and white pepper. Personally I like black pepper, so that was a letdown. The staff were energetic and left a good impression. The atmosphere is that of an ordinary aburasoba shop.

There are many varieties, so I'd like to try them. You might want to think carefully about the portion size depending on your appetite. I see customers who look like students in the student district. It is a little small, but easy to enter. Stable taste. There are many kinds of food. You might want to consider the amount of food you want.
