As for the bomb sag itself, there's only a very small area outside the fence where you can see rocks embedded in lava. Just a little way away from トウシキ園地, the number of visitors watching the year's first sunrise dropped dramatically. I could enjoy the first sunrise at leisure.

You have to walk to the bomb sag here from the park side, but the park has no clearly designated parking area, so you need to find a suitable place to park and walk. Here and there are marks apparently left by ordinary cars whose undersides scraped the ground when drivers pushed too far in. Also, the actual bomb sags have been increasingly eroded by waves, and apparently all the ones shown in the photos on the information board have fallen below the cliff, so they can no longer be seen.

2023.9.19 Parked in a suitable spot in トウシキ園地 and walked 3 minutes. It's much smaller than I expected. Visit if you have time to spare. The information board has been replaced with a new one, and 伊豆大島ジオパーク seems to be making an effort too.

It's a pleasant place when the weather is good. A bicycle is recommended.

I went without knowing about it, so it felt like, wow, there was a place like this here! A place nobody comes to ☆
