I highly recommend the karubi, it’s more like marbled meat rather than a huge slab of fat with meat. Portions aren’t huge, but the quality is worth it Will definitely come back!

We decided to have our last dinner of our vacation at this yakiniku restaurant. We got there without a reservation and we were lucky since the chef was able to provide us with a table. The atmosphere was great and people were talking and having a great time. We were seated in the main room which had tables that seemed to be on floor level but you are able to put your feet under the table as if you would sit on a chair. The extremely friendly and helpful service guy explained us the menu and recommended us some food wich was all really really good and of best quality. The meat was so good I can’t even find words for it. We had shabu shabu meat, 2 types of heart. The thick cut tongue (so good!) and 2 types of rib meat. We also got the rice with egg and meat wich was also really really good. The salad and the kimchi set were perfect for the meat. I also ordered the draft beer which comes iced and was also really good. As a German I must say the beer was one of the best I had in Japan. Really good draft beer. The price for our meal was absolutely sensible for the quality you get here. You get what you pay for and that is a really nice atmosphere, super good service and super good food. I will definitely come here again on my next trip to Japan. I would recommend everyone to book a table here and have a great evening. Thanks Seigou for the hospitality and the great food. I arrived after 19 without a reservation but got in without waiting. The tongue was particularly memorable among the dishes I ate this time! It had hidden scoring cuts and was so tender that it bit through easily the moment it entered my mouth. I was surprised by the wonderful texture. Of course, the flavor was flawless too, with plenty of meaty umami! For me, it was definitely the MVP among the dishes I ordered this time I also had Harami and Bibimbap, and everything was carefully prepared and delicious, making for a very satisfying meal. There are counter and table seats, so you can casually visit alone or enjoy a leisurely meal with family and friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious yakiniku around Nishi-Nippori. Especially if you love tongue, please try it at least once!
