First visit. Got in around noon with no wait. When I tried to come the other day there were people waiting outside, so I gave up. Came back for a rematch. Once inside, it made sense. Counter only, 5 or 6 seats? I think? It's quite small. You pay when you order! Ordered the soy sauce ramen, light style. Apparently it's called Ganko-style, and this was my first time trying it. The taste is good but on the quite salty side. People who like that will love it!

Ganko, sort of. The Ganko character is pretty diluted, but it's within the range where you can say, well, it's sort of Ganko. The noodles are those Ganko noodles, so that alone satisfies me. Even those are, well,, kind of "something's off," though. (By the way, for this poster, Ganko means the Ganko at the now-closed Nishi-Waseda branch). Fukumen and Yotsuya are crowded and expensive, but here there's no wait, a large is 1000 yen, and the taste is sort of Ganko. I thought it wasn't bad at all. By the way, they had tantanmen, which is rare for Ganko, so I tried it, but this was also just a slightly reddish ordinary ramen, at the level of "sort of tantanmen,,,?" I don't get many chances to come to Minami-Senju, but I think I'll eat here if I come again.

2026/01 My first ramen of the new work year was at Ganko Ramen Minami-Senju. It's been ages since I had Ganko-style. Maybe about 3 years. I was torn between soy sauce and salt, but I strongly associate Ganko with "delicious salt (super strong flavor)," so I went with the salt ramen. I agonized over toppings and went with everything on top. Default 880 yen and 130 yen for a large is reasonable for these days and great value. Verbal order, pay first, cash. Time to eat. Wow,,, so nostalgic!! The first Ganko I had 30 years ago is flashing back!! The original shop and others nowadays,, have a strong event-like feel, regularly doing things like "super rare ingredient ramen," but this place is delicious in a way that makes you go, yes, this is it, this is old-school Ganko ramen. The flavor is strong, as expected. The chashu is properly meaty and melt-in-your-mouth tender. So good. So good. I finished every bit while soaking in nostalgia. Thank you for the meal. I'd like to come eat here again when I'm in the area.

Ganko Minami-Senju after a long time Ordered the rich soy sauce in a large size. The soup was the same salty-delicious as always, but the noodles, and I'm not sure if it was because I got the large, were really mushy and not tasty. They weren't like that the last time I came, so it's a shame
