I went with 2 foreign friends and surprisingly we were treated very kindly and they were very considerate and patient in taking our orders. We went looking for a Japanese izakaya experience and found it. The waitress was very friendly and the boss made sure we were comfortable, the experience exceeded my expectations

Fast service! A hugely popular lunch even on weekdays Visited around 12:30 for a weekday lunch. It was lively, and the tables were almost full. There were 3 empty counter seats, so I sat there. The floor staff showed me to my seat cheerfully. I ordered the daily lunch for 900円. That day's dish was 若鶏もも肉塩からあげ with salad. It arrived an unbelievable 1,2 minutes after ordering. So fast…! For this price, you get 4 pieces of karaage, salad, pasta, pickles, a seasoned egg, chilled tofu, clear soup, and rice. It's not just fast—the portion is impressive too. Perhaps they always keep some karaage already fried, because it wasn't piping hot, but it had a crunchy texture. For someone like me who can't handle very hot food, it was an easy temperature to eat. There was mentaiko mayo sauce, and dipping into it made for a sinfully delicious taste. The overall amount of food is really large, so I'd recommend women ask for less rice. The downside is that payment is cash only, but the staff's service was so pleasant that I could see why the place is popular.

2026.5.13 (Wednesday), my first visit, for lunch. Besides the taste and portion size of the katsu curry itself, I really appreciated the generous serving of crunchy coleslaw and the Japanese-style soup packed with leafy greens and fried tofu that came with the set, as someone who is chronically short on vegetables. The grilled fish other customers were eating looked thick and delicious too, and the evening menu listed various fresh fish that change daily. It's a place I'd like to return to, whether for lunch or evening drinks.

Visited for lunch on a weekday. The chicken rice on the daily lunch menu was pretty good, with a moderate overall portion but a decent amount of chicken. I think slightly more generous portions of the small side dishes would improve the impression further.

I arrived in 西日暮里 before noon, so I stopped by for lunch. I ordered the 銀鮭塩焼定食. They seem to grill it after the order comes in, so it took a little time. The rice was firm, just how I like it, which made a good impression. They also seem to make the dashi for the miso soup properly, and it was delicious. The coho salmon was fatty and delicious too. Next time I think I'll try the 寒サワラ!
