Typical Bengali cuisine served with absolute perfection. From mochar chop to chingri malaikari, everything was fantastic. A must visit place if you miss Bengali food or want try Indian food apart from the stereotypical butter chicken and naan.
View on GoogleAuthentic Bengali Cuisine in Tokyo. Highly recommend to try their Thali. Very friendly owners and full of begali vibes.
View on Googlehonestly one of the most authentic Bengali meals I’ve had outside India and probably the only one in japan. It’s run by a Bengali woman and her Japanese husband, who’s also the chef. He clearly knows his stuff. every dish tasted spot on, nothing watered down or adjusted for local taste. The vibe is warm and homely, and you can tell they really care about what they’re serving. They do a special biryani on weekends that’s apparently quite popular , definitely planning to go back for that. If you’re thinking of going, book ahead. They’re usually packed on weekends.
View on GoogleI had a mixed experience at this restaurant. The beetroot cutlet was dry and tasted old, and the chicken curry lacked authentic Bengali flavor with raw-tasting spices. However, the shorshe ilish and prawn malai curry were excellent, prompting a return visit for those dishes. The aamer chutney portion was very small, similar to a thali serving. The service was warm and homely, run by a friendly couple.
View on GoogleThis place is the best place to get a true Bengali household experience. I’m a Bengali from Kolkata and the food tastes like real homemade food. I ambiance is so pretty! I went there during Durga Puja so I could see Maa Durga too and besides that, the lady who serves the food is a great and friendly person. I’ve read other comments by Japanese people that complain about the environment being “talkative “ but no, that’s how it works in India. We love talking and interacting with people even if it’s someone that we don’t know. So if you’re a Bengali /Indian or someone who would like to experience a true Bengali dining, you must visit it!
