An onigiri shop (takeout only) using rice that is soaked, drained, and saccharified, then cooked in a gas rice cooker so it stays delicious even when cold, along with dried nori with a strong aroma and umami. Preparing the rice takes overnight. We put in time and care, and shape each onigiri from freshly cooked rice. We are unable to cook large amounts of additional rice. We recommend making a reservation or having items set aside for you.

While out for a walk, I spotted my favorite yamagobo onigiri in the display case. When I tried it, the nori didn't seem to be regular toasted nori and had a great aroma; you can tell they're particular about their ingredients. The rice was delicious even though it was cold. The staff were great too, and even chatted with me. A shop I want to tell my friends about. (Added June 2026) It's become a really popular shop. It's been selling out more often, so I recommend having yours set aside.

An onigiri specialty shop near Machiya Station that I found while looking for breakfast on a day off. I was drawn in by the big onigiri drawn on the noren curtain. I went in around 10 AM, but by then there were only 6 kinds left, so from those I bought three: red salmon, shio musubi, and yukari rice with pickles, for 840 yen total including the bag fee. Each onigiri is individually packed in its own container; they look small at first, but the rice is packed tight, so they're surprisingly filling — a happy miscalculation. There really is no food better suited to eating while strolling than onigiri, right? Next time I'll come a little earlier. Thanks for the meal.

I bought the cold prosciutto onigiri and the yamagobo. I bought them thinking, "Is there really any need to make onigiri cold?!" but they turned out to be wonderfully delicious onigiri. How do I put it? No need for fancy words, they were just plain "delicious." The yamagobo was also loaded with as much filling as possible, totally satisfied. Each one comes in its own case, so even if the generous filling spills out, no worries.

Got some onigiri for a snack at Komomo, an onigiri shop in Machiya. The wiener curry stir-fry that caught my eye, and the much-talked-about yamagobo. Both the spicy sausage and the yamagobo with its fun texture were delicious. #荒川区 #荒川区グルメ #荒川テイクアウト #町屋 #おにぎり

I came here for the first time to pick up treats to bring to my workplace, and they served me very politely. Each one is packed individually, so they're easy to carry, which I love. There are lots of different fillings, so choosing is fun too. Unlike convenience store ones, they don't contain preservatives, so you can eat them with peace of mind. My coworkers say they're delicious too (*´∀`*)
