Craving gyoza = "Nikujiru Gyoza no Dandadan"! With the concept "Gyoza and beer are culture.", besides "culture drinking" enjoying gyoza and beer together, you can also enjoy lunch, dinner set meals, takeout bento and à la carte dishes, and delivery! Our signature product is the "Juicy Pan-Fried Gyoza," developed over more than a year in pursuit of the ideal gyoza. The filling uses carefully selected ingredients kneaded thoroughly until their umami multiplies, and is hand-wrapped in our homemade skins. Its hallmark is the abundant meat juice that overflows from the meat-packed filling, making it a superb dish that goes perfectly with rice or as a snack with beer. Dandadan's proud juicy gyoza, without dipping in anything…

Great prices, friendly staff and they have an English menu you can scan on your phone. The gyoza is both fried and super juicy inside. Their combo set with their fried chicken is also great. Highly recommend for a late night meal!

Food was okay and most of the staff were friendly, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by the manager’s extremely poor attitude. We had just sat down and had not even ordered yet. My husband took out a small snack and some water for our child. The manager immediately approached us in a very aggressive tone and told my husband to put it away. We understood the rule and removed the snack and water straight away. However, the manager continued to behave in a very confrontational way. He repeatedly asked my husband if I was Chinese and then insisted on using Google Translate to show the rule in Chinese to me. What I found strange is that my husband who is Australian, was the one who took out the snack and water. Yet the manager chose not to simply explain the rule clearly in English to him. Instead, he translated it into Chinese and showed it to me as if I needed to relay the message. I’m not personally offended by the language choice, but the whole interaction felt unnecessarily passive-aggressive and uncomfortable. All the other staff members were polite and welcoming, which makes this even more disappointing. A single manager with this kind of attitude can easily undermine the entire customer experience.

We dropped in for lunch on a Wednesday. The staff were energetic and friendly providing a very welcomed atmosphere. I picked the chashu lunch menu set meal (with rice, soup, and soft boiled egg). The chashu was thick cut and nice and juicy. The gyoza seem to be very popular here and one of the group tried them and agreed that they are worthy of the praise. Overall, a very good value for dollar spot for lunch or dinner near Nishi-Nippori Station.

This dumpling place was next to our hotel. Service was amazing. Everyone was so nice. The food was really delicious that we came here twice during our trip.
