【Sakaba Horoki pilgrimage】 I don't know how many years ago it was founded, but its appearance makes it clear that this is a long-established place. An L-shaped counter and obanzai. Rui Rui's signature right in front of me. Isn't this setting just too perfect? From the obanzai, I chose simmered bai whelks, and for the main dish, of course, assorted sashimi. A combination of my favorites. Colorful jewels spread out before my eyes. The scattered seasonal colors speak quietly from the plate. The sea and the seasons intertwine. This truly is a treasure island. ■Assorted sashimi 1500円 ■Simmered bai whelks 600円 ■Sapporo Black Label (large bottle) 700円 ■Otoshi 300円

A good old-fashioned izakaya right near Minami-Senju Station. There's a wide range of seafood dishes, prepared with care. The medium draft beer is almost the same size as the large bottled beer, yet the price difference is only 50円—a customer-friendly drink. The highball is on the strong side. They bring the hot sake piping hot and pour it for you. The assorted sashimi had an amazing 12 varieties. The service is pleasant, and everything is generally delicious. The sea squirt had no aroma, and the sea cucumber was thinly sliced. It's a shame smoking is allowed. I'd like to visit again if I'm in this area.

I happened to find this place and casually stopped in. The proprietress told me to make a reservation next time. Apparently, they sometimes close because of the chef's health. Inside, it was lively with regulars, office workers, and others. The menu was extensive, and everything looked delicious, making it hard to choose. That day I ordered various things, including whelks, and was a little surprised that the bill came to just under 5000円! For the assorted sashimi, limited to 1 per group, they kept telling me it would take time, as if they didn't really want to serve it...then why not just stop offering it? Overall, this was a high-quality place, but first-time solo customers don't seem particularly welcome, so if you're going, it would probably be better to reserve for 2〜3 people.

I visited around 5:30. I sat at the counter. The place was thoroughly clean, which immediately lifted my spirits. The drinks arrived quickly, and the otoshi was incredibly delicious. All the large-platter dishes looked tasty, so I ordered simmered whelks and bamboo shoots. Wow, the seasoning was just wonderful. After that, it became a session of raw dishes and drinks. A very satisfying place.
