Great okonomiyaki. Very authentic downtown experience.
View on GoogleAccording to Machiya people, the origin of monjayaki is not Tsukishima but Machiya. This is the second time I've come, but both last time and this time, customers who seemed to be locals were talking in Edo dialect, a shop with a downtown atmosphere. When asked if I could grill monjayaki, and I answered I didn't know, an older brother who looks like Takayuki Yamada grilled it for me. Kind. A good shop where you can eat without tourist prices.
View on GoogleI am completely a Machiya monja person, so I visited. I had avoided it for a long time because I was refused due to filming, but this is a valuable Machiya monja shop that is open from the daytime. Delicious. Arakawa sour is the best. It's delicious if there is mentai cheese. Even if it's not in it, it's delicious. It turns out this is the shop used in the Tokyo Metro commercial with Satomi Ishihara. Surely when we went, Ishihara was there.
View on GoogleA monja shop that is (probably) loved by the locals of Machiya. Often full and can't get in... The woman who is like the owner? Looks scary at first glance but is actually friendly. The staff are also locals, my impression is that there are many elderly people. I think that also creates the atmosphere of downtown feel.
View on GoogleA famous monja shop that is also loved by the locals. I went after confirming the PayPay Gourmet reservation, but it seems it wasn't reflected well, so it was a bit chaotic but I was able to enter. It's been a while but it was delicious. Dried plum sour is my favorite. And, the ginger tempura ordered for the first time... Too dangerous. Chili oil for dumpling monja was also stimulating and delicious. Not family? Maybe not, but the warm feeling between the staff is very soothing. The great senior in the kitchen apologized for the chaos when entering... I felt sorry. The PayPay Gourmet discount was also done properly. Thank you.
