The zhajiangmian was delicious. The meat miso has a restrained sweetness from the tianmianjiang and is tasty. The soft noodles mix well with the meat miso. I've only had zhajiangmian a handful of times, so I don't know if this is the authentic version. It's a shame that although the interior is new, it doesn't feel very clean.

It's not very good. First, the dishware is bad. Hard to eat from. Kills your appetite. The interior. Why do I have to eat while looking at safes and jewelry counters? On to the main point. I tried the Beijing zhajiangmian set from the lunch menu. It took way too long to come out. (Given the location, nobody here eats that leisurely) It spills off the plate and is hard to eat. (The plate is small) You can't even mix the sauce into the noodles. They're probably using decent ordinary ingredients, but they give no thought at all to the people eating. It feels like a place opened by amateurs.

A place across from Koeiken, a popular shop on Meiji-dori. What used to be a jade research institute had turned into a Chinese restaurant. I'd been curious for a while, but its hard-to-enter aura was too strong and I hesitated, then finally worked up the courage to go in. I ordered the beef ramen + 3 gyoza (¥780) from the blackboard out front. The gyoza were meh, but the beef ramen felt like authentic Chinese food and was delicious. They also seem to have chicken paitan and dandan noodles, so I'd like to go eat there again.

This is the pork ginger set meal Lots of onion, not much meat Maybe they cut back on meat because customers are few due to COVID (lol) It tasted good The staff's service was good too

Instead of the plump gyoza in the photo, flat gyoza with only a little filling came out. I was shocked at how different they were. Are these skin-focused gyoza? The taste isn't bad, but it doesn't match the price. The fried rice was… meh. Disappointing.
