I had the spice curry and the hamburg steak & karaage set meal. The hamburg was stewed and meltingly tender. The karaage chicken was super tender! The chicken in the spice curry was tender too, so maybe chicken dishes are their specialty. The spice curry isn't that spicy while you eat it, but I was sweating a little, so maybe it works on you from the inside. Wooden counter, wooden chairs—very calming and cozy.

It's nearby so I dropped in on a whim! Found it searching online🔍. Open on Saturdays only~! I had the daily special for 800 yen. Nice atmosphere. It was delicious~ The karaage seemed oven-baked? The veggies were tasty too, with a homemade feel,, Probably a good amount for women? Might not be enough for guys with big appetites?

A place where you can eat homestyle food cheaply until you're full. The menu changes daily so you never get bored, and everything is delicious. Ever since I realized all their sweets are delicious, I make sure to always have dessert. The atmosphere of the place and the staff's service feel warm and friendly. I think it's the kind of diner everyone wishes they had in their neighborhood

Visited in January 2021. It seems to be affiliated with a nearby recycle shop (Recycle Shop Aun), but this place is organized as a business cooperative and seems to be doing visionary work. Now, as for Dokkoi Shokudo itself, the set meal came with 3 small side dishes of vegetables, and the sauce on the main (flounder fried in sweet vinegar sauce) was also topped with lots of vegetables, giving a satisfaction beyond just filling your stomach. And yet the price of 600 yen is astonishing. Lunch hours run until 14:00, but when I went at 13:00 it was already nearly sold out, and I thought the popularity was well deserved.
