This is one of our go-to spots in Machiya, particularly for spicy toshomen/刀削麺 (thick, chewy 'blade-sliced' noodles. Not particularly fancy interior, but good, inexpensive and, of course, somewhat greasy authentic Chinese/Szechuan fare.
View on GoogleWe went to this restaurant but had never been here before. We were pleasantly happy at the reasonable prices on the menu. Many items to choose from. We all ordered many different plates so we could try many dishes. The food was extremely very good and very delicious. There were no bad dishes from what we ate. We ordered many dishes. We were a party of 10 people. The service was very good and responsive. A friend walked in and we sat down and enjoyed several hours of conversation and drinks. Very relaxing. Good Chinese tasting food, good service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend this restaurant.
View on GoogleChinese restaurant with Chinese cook. Reasonable price, but nothing special regarding taste. I recommend their gyoza, but definitely not their ramen.

View on GoogleI stopped by for lunch while visiting tropical fish shops in Machiya. I ordered the karaage set meal and the set-meal gyoza. The menu seemed to say the set-meal gyoza was available from 17:00, but they accepted the order without any problem. It was served in about 10 minutes. There was salad on the karaage plate, but also another salad on a separate plate, a pleasant surprise for someone like me who does not eat enough vegetables. There were 6 pieces of karaage, each about the size of one chicken thigh divided into 6, and the garlic flavor was not very strong. However, extra salt and pepper had been sprinkled on, and the pepper flavor made it very delicious. The gyoza had crispy wings, with a crunchy exterior and plenty of meat juices inside, making you eat more rice. The soup was also quite thick, but it was not the type with a strong Shaoxing wine flavor, so it suited my tastes very well and was delicious.
