Tokyo, Minami-Senju　@cafe_shukran To the weekend-only cafe, Cafe Shukran Just barely at the tail end of cherry blossom season I had sakura🌸 sweets! #桜の紅茶 #桜のロールケーキ #桜と焙じ茶のグラスティラミス Every item is beautiful, and the taste is moving🥺 Especially the roll cake! Warabi mochi is tucked inside the rich, dense sponge adding a surprise to the deliciousness! I enjoyed the tiramisu layer by layer too♪ Both weren't too sweet and were easy to eat! A perfect harmony with the black tea. The owner is a very kind person and does everything alone, from serving guests to preparing the food. Most guests come solo, so apart from the in-store background music, it's very quiet. It was so comfortable I got sleepy. I'd love to make this place my own secret hideout! Thank you for such a luxurious time♪

A cafe I'd recommend to anyone who loves black tea and sweets, and enjoys spending time alone! I'd wanted to visit for a long time, but my days off and the reservations never lined up,, This time I finally got a reservation and was able to go. Everyone comes solo, so it's a quiet space with just background music, but the things other people have written about didn't bother me. If anything, it was so pleasant for me that I got sleepy. Each of the sweets had a flavor that showed how carefully it was made, not too sweet, and truly delicious✨ I was worried whether I could finish all three, but I polished them off in no time😋 The cream made with black tea especially, as you'd expect from a place specializing in black tea, had a really distinct flavor. When I visited, there was a small parfait on the plate, and it was hugely satisfying!! Small as it was, each component was delicious, and together they were even better✨ The plate's contents change every time, so I get why there are so many repeat customers😆 I want to try the roll cake too, so I'll try hard to get a reservation again! As you'd expect from a specialty shop, they had several black teas by region of origin, and since the teas change with the seasons, they happened to be serving a summer-picked Darjeeling, so I ordered that. The flavor felt like a completely different thing from the black tea I usually drink, and it was really delicious. The owner sees every departing guest off at the door, and I chatted a little on my way out too. The owner was gentle-mannered, and I thought it's a place I'd want to come back to! Anyway, I was able to spend a meaningful time with black tea and sweets. Thank you for the meal! I'd love to visit again😊 On my second visit I finally got to have the roll cake I'd been longing for! The sponge was chewy, and the not-too-sweet cream brought out the sweetness of the peaches; it was so delicious!

A cafe near Minami-Senju Station. The shop is on the 2nd floor of what might be the owner's home?, reached by an outside staircase. Currently open only on weekends. The female owner was running it alone. You can enjoy homemade sweets with restrained sweetness and a variety of black teas. On the day I visited, there were several kinds of baked goods like muffins and 2 kinds of fresh cakes. There were sofa seats too, so I could take it easy.
