Found this little gem round the corner of our hotel when we first arrived to Nippori Station. For anyone that fly in from Narita, Nippori is a good option for accommodation. Now back to the food, the first thing that caught our eyes was just how huge the portion is. I wanted hiyashichuka which is a Chinese style cold noodles with toppings but they only sell it during summer. So we decided to get the crowd favourite (given we see most of the tables have it) some gigantic gyoza! For JPY500 you get these huge morsels of juicy dumplings, pair it with cha siew with spicy leeks, heaven. We also ordered a miso negi (leeks) ramen, the proportion is more vege over carbs and love that we don’t have to overload w carbs this way, more room for convenience store snack hunt. Loads of locals eating here and service was awesome too.
View on GoogleFilled with locals so can’t be wrong. Got an English menu and there was no looking back. The tantan-men was so so good. It’s not a smooth broth and lots of umami. Love it. The broth itself was full of flavour and I pretty much cleaned the bowl. It’s a small space and service was quick. Gets really busy in peak times, if you get a spot just got for it. Overall a 8/10.
View on GoogleThe noodles were totally handmade and prepared right at the moment, which made them taste amazing. The gyozas were giant and delicious. Great place to enjoy fresh food with a warm vibe.
View on GoogleWe saw them hand pulling noodles through a window the day before and added this to our must try. This was the best way to start our day! The tantan-men and gyoza were so delicious! I still think about them today and will be back to try more. The staff were friendly, efficient and the place was clean and cozy.
View on GoogleThe flavor was pretty average, there was no meat, and it was overpriced.
