It's in a lovely public library. These small emptyish museums are my favorite in Japan
View on GoogleBeautiful library with excellent services, it's the best way to spend an hour on a Sunday.

View on GoogleThis is a facility I'd really like fans of Akira Yoshimura to visit. The exhibits, arranged chronologically starting from his upbringing, let you learn about his life and career, and his research notes, packed densely with tiny handwriting, convey his sincere attitude toward historical facts. In the reproduced study, you can actually sit at his desk and even write on manuscript paper. If you want to take your time looking around, you'll need about 1 hour. It's right by Toden Arakawa-nichome Station, inside Yui no Mori Arakawa.
View on GooglePlease note that there are closing days. Details are listed on the website of the Arakawa City Library Yui no Mori Arakawa. Mr. Yoshimura has a strong image as a war writer. The library in Arakawa City, his hometown, has a permanent memorial literary museum that you can visit for free. His research notes and manuscripts are on display, and if you step into the reproduced study you can even take a commemorative photo feeling like a writer. His books have a pretty heavy image, but I'd like young people to read them too.
