A tonkatsu place I'd been curious about for ages. I wanted katsudon, so I ordered it. The owner is quite elderly, and cooking looks very strenuous for him. A woman, possibly a relative?, helps him. The bowl arrived in about 15 minutes. It's made by the elderly owner. Thank you for the meal.

I've never found shogayaki better than the one here. It has a sweetness to it and is very delicious. It has rescued me so many times when I've been exhausted. I wonder if that sweet old man with the bent back is doing well. The storefront is lovely too. I'd love to eat it again.

A set-meal restaurant with delicious grilled pork sets. They have the standard shogayaki, Mino-yaki, Shino-yaki, and karashi-yaki. Apparently the cuts and flavors differ, but that day an earlier customer seemed to have ordered Shino-yaki, so I followed their lead. It really makes you keep eating your rice. Apparently you can get a larger portion of meat too. Next time I want katsudon.

The meat quality is decent, and I think the prices are good too, but perhaps because the restaurant is a little cramped, the comfort level was questionable.” Maybe my impression would have been somewhat different if the counter had been available and I'd eaten there, but at the counter I used this time, I was a little too close to the staff, and I'm not very comfortable with that. I'm the type who would rather be left alone if possible. Although I got the impression that prices had probably gone up by about 100 yen overall, I liked the meat texture in the loin katsu set. It had its own merits eaten plain, with sauce, or with salt. It's a small detail, but I also liked the appropriate amount of cabbage. Some places occasionally serve ridiculously huge portions of cabbage, but that just feels like wasting ingredients to me, so I'm not a fan. Overall, I felt a difference between how first-time customers and regulars were treated.

Loin katsu set 1300円 Nameko soup 180 円 Shogayaki set 900円 I was surprised by how tender and delicious the loin katsu was! They start frying it after you order, so it's probably best to order when you have time to spare.
