Is Higashi-Nakagami a foodie town…? Following yesterday's Chinese lunch, I had a medium serving of chuka soba for 700円 with a 200円 char siu topping at this shop in front of the station. I usually leave almost all the ramen broth, but it was delicious and gentle in flavor, so I drank it all. The char siu, by the way, is thin but large, tender, and fall-apart soft (I love this type!). It's also close to Tachikawa, so I think it's worth making the trip to eat here. The owner made a good impression too!

A 2,3-minute walk from Higashi-Nakagami Station. Feels like an old-fashioned ramen shop that's only open during the day. A perfectly ordinary ramen shop. Even though I knew it was a bad idea! I still ordered tsukemen. As expected, it wasn't great. It just doesn't taste good with ordinary chuka soba noodles. I should have played it safe with ramen and green onions.

There's always a line, but this time my timing was good and I could eat, and it was delicious. You can enjoy old-fashioned chuka soba at an affordable price (there was a notice saying noodle dishes would go up by 100円 starting in April 2026, but it's still cheap and delicious).

Our family of 4 visits regularly. That day, the tatami seating happened to be available, so we could enjoy a leisurely meal. With so many places now charging 1,000円 or more for ramen, the value here is truly considerate, and I'm nothing but grateful. This time I had chuka soba (medium) with char siu and green onion toppings. The thin noodles pick up the nostalgic seafood-based soy sauce broth, and the thinly sliced char siu and crunchy green onions are absolutely delicious too. They always give the children mini char siu and nori on the house, and even send them home with snacks. I'm truly grateful for their warm thoughtfulness. Today's meal was delicious again. Thank you for the meal!

『Chuka soba medium + wontons + char siu (¥700+200+200)』... So, deliveries were a breeze that day, and I was really craving the ramen here, so I visited for the first time in ages♪ Casually checked and found it had been about 6 and a half years...(^O^; Arrived around 12:30 and the shop was full… Sadly, the gyoza I'd been after were sold out too… And I wasn't expecting them to close early just after 13...(^O^;; The light soy sauce broth felt even more “old-school” than before, and the pleasantly soft thin noodles were ( ゚Д゚)YUM♪ And the tender meat topping (4 slices), little wontons (4), and soft menma were d('∀'o)great too♪ With ingredient costs soaring, it's seriously amazing that compared with 6 years ago, chuka soba has only gone up ¥100 and beer about ¥50~♪ And it was really good to see the owner, who's probably in his 80s now, still looking so lively♪...Maybe another 10 years...(lol)
