You can ride from 110cm tall, but it's slower than the indoor slides and feels a bit underwhelming. It might be nice for people who don't like speed, since they can enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Except during peak season, the line usually stretches to the bottom of the stairs, and depending on how the staff run things, the wait is about 40–50 minutes. There are 2 slides, and you choose which one to ride at the top of the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs there's a steel rack for small items, and the rule is to leave things like glasses there and line up empty-handed. Quite a few people leave their smartphones there, and every time I think, Japan sure is peaceful~, but personally I think it's safer to use the refundable 100-yen coin lockers by the restroom right nearby. In July it closes at 16:30.
