This was a place I wanted to try because the reviews were good. It says they are open until 23:00, but when I previously visited around 21:30, I was told they were already done for the day, so I came back again. The parking lot was full last time, but this time there was only 1 car and plenty of space, and the restaurant was very empty too. The meat we ordered this time: サーロイン 2500円, ヒレ 3000円, 上ロース and 上カルビ 2000円 each, and 和牛ハラミ 1850円. The ヒレ was delicious, but the inside was still frozen even after grilling the surface, which was the only disappointment with it. The 上ロース and カルビ were both marbled, tender, and delicious. The サーロイン was very thin, yet generously covered in salt all over, and I was shocked by how incredibly salty it was. There was simply too much salt, so I asked the staff for some paper to wipe it off, but it was still salty, which was a waste. The 和牛ハラミ cost around 350円 for 1 slice, yet it was tough and impossible to bite through, which was very disappointing. The 1200円 石焼ビビンバ was piping hot, but no crispy rice crust formed at all, and the taste was neither good nor bad. We didn't place any additional orders at last order, but while we were still eating the last of our meat, 2 staff members came to clear up and even removed the charcoal. We were eating normally, not lingering, and there were other customers ordering lots more food, so it was very unpleasant. I work in customer service too, and I simply can't understand why they couldn't wait a few more minutes until we left. Our drinks were empty, yet they didn't refill our water and only rushed to clear things away, which I don't think is right. The good reviews are from several years ago, so perhaps things are different now… Chain restaurants are better in terms of price, quality, and service, and there are plenty of other good places, so I won't return.
View on GoogleSince moving nearby, every time we passed the restaurant we talked about going someday, and we visited last night, Saturday. Under the coronavirus emergency declaration, last orders were at 19:45 and closing was at 20:00; when we arrived around 18:45, it was almost full. Having read the reviews, we were prepared for fairly substantial prices, and they were indeed fairly substantial! My spouse and I went with our teenage son and daughter, both with big appetites. It's embarrassing to admit, but we had told the children we couldn't eat too much, so they ate slowly. Even an amateur can tell the meat is fresh. It really felt like it melted in our mouths! The attentive service was lovely! Perhaps it was the calm gentleman and his daughter; when I was looking curiously at the autograph boards behind the register from visiting professional baseball players, they told me who they were with kind smiles. A colleague had told me about this restaurant quite some time ago, and we happened to move nearby, so I was glad to finally fulfill that wish! For our family of 4, stopping at about 6 tenths full cost around 9000円. Next time I'd like to enjoy that melt-in-your-mouth meat until I'm full.
View on GoogleI think this is the most delicious yakiniku restaurant in Akiruno. The 上ロース is expensive at 2千円, but its melting fat is irresistible, and it's my favorite. The 680円 タン焼き is inexpensive, fairly thick, and has just the right texture. I recommend it.
View on GoogleI went out to eat with my third son, who said any yakiniku restaurant would do. Our first visit to 『焼肉 まつざか』. We were delayed by our respective errands and arrived at 19:00. They said last orders were at 19:15, so we looked at the menu and ordered whatever caught our eye. By the way, here's what I learned when I asked a staff member about the origin of the name 『まつざか』. 1. The owner isn't named Matsuzaka, and there's no one by that name. 2. They aren't using 『松坂牛』 either. 3. Basically, I don't know. That was the answer. Maybe they named it to borrow some prestige from the beef brand 『松坂牛』~. The interior, with its wistful bubble-era feel, is nice too. 【Order】 ⚪︎ 上たん塩 1700円 ◎ 和牛ハラミ salt 1500円 Sauce 1500円 ◎ カルビ 1000円 ◎ タン焼き 630円 2 servings Also rice and soft drinks The meat quality is good, and I like the chunky cuts and seasoning. I especially recommend the タン焼き. It's much cheaper than the other dishes, so I thought it might be tough, but it was tender, and the miso flavor went incredibly well with it. This would go great with beer…. Next time I'll order 骨つきカルビ too~. He talked to me about all sorts of things, like club activities and schoolwork. It's nice to spend time just the two of us occasionally. Let's go again. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleA restaurant I've visited many times The food tastes good, but overall I find it oily. The prices are also somewhat high, about 20000円〜25,000円 for 5 people. Considering the value for money, I personally felt it was a little overpriced.
