One of my favorite shops! Even though it was past lunchtime, there were several groups already there, and since each crepe is carefully cooked one at a time after you order, if your timing is bad it can take a while to be served. As the sign says, "the batter is the star," and its well-cooked crispy texture and toasty aroma are its hallmarks. This time I had a banana crepe with chocolate and whipped cream; the chocolate had a nice flavor, the whipped cream was smooth, and it was very delicious. The staff are gentle-mannered, and the shop has a warm atmosphere. Besides the standard items, there's also a good selection of seasonal limited menu items, so I recommend checking the information posted out front beforehand. It does take time, but that makes it ideal for when you want to take your time enjoying something freshly made.
View on GoogleThe batter was crispy, with plenty of cream and banana, and it was delicious! There seem to be more of these lately? Among the shops named katakana➕crepe that have Hontono Choco? on the menu, this was the most delicious! The service felt kind and they made my crepe right away, so whenever I'm craving a crepe from this chain I want to go again!
View on GoogleA lone crepe shop standing by itself It's a 15-minute walk from Kitasenju Station. This time I visited a famous seafood bowl restaurant, and it was right next door. That seafood bowl place is a good old-fashioned sushi shop selected for Kitana Michelin, so being next to a place like that, this shop looks all sparkly. There's always room for dessert Hontono Choco Color Spray Banana Whip I ordered the crepe with that long name Price: 680 yen Since the seafood bowl was 850 yen, I can't help thinking "that's a little pricey." The shop is famous for its crispy batter, but I might prefer the moist kind. The fresh cream wasn't too sweet either, it was a grown-up flavor.
View on GoogleI wanted to eat a crispy crepe, and when I searched, one in Kitasenju came up, and since it's fairly close, I went right away. The woman at the shop also spoke to me kindly, and it felt really nice! The crepe batter was cold, but I enjoyed it very much♪ I want to go again. Next time I'm curious about the chocolate one, so I'd like to try it.
View on GoogleI'd been curious about it for a while, and this was my first visit. I went in with my child, and luckily it wasn't crowded, and we got to chat with the staff, which was heartwarming♪ I'll have a crepe next time; this time I mainly ordered drinks. I ordered the matcha one and the mango one, and the cream was nice and thick, which I really liked! Also, the soft serve was so delicious it surprised me! A shop that makes you want to come back!
