The otoshi (starter) is whatever the master feels like making. Some days it's something fried, some days it's a salad. They have about 4 to 5 kinds of awamori, but they weren't on the by-the-glass menu. If there's one you like, they might pour it for you? It's a creative-cuisine restaurant, but the menu is home-style and nothing too gimmicky, so it works as a place for a meal too. Even though it's not a chain, it's open properly according to the calendar and welcomes first-timers, which is quietly commendable. Counter and table seating. No private rooms.
