I came for lunch. It’s a tsuke soba specialty shop with a calm atmosphere, a short walk from Kita-Senju Station. The interior is clean, easy to walk into even alone, and I could enjoy my meal at a relaxed pace. Payment is cash only, so it’s good to have it ready before you go. This time I ordered the “Neba Neba Soba”. Packed with tororo, natto, okra, wakame, and raw egg, it’s a bowl you can eat refreshingly even in the hot season. If you mix the ingredients well, you can enjoy each texture, and it goes perfectly with the soba. The dipping broth was just the right strength, and I enjoyed it to the end without getting tired of it. Another nice point is that you can choose up to a large serving of soba for free. You can adjust the amount to your appetite, so I felt it was good value for money too. There’s also a guide to popular menu items in the shop, and next time I’d like to try the well-reviewed “Tokusei Rayu Niku Tsuke Soba”. It seems there are seasonal limited items too, so I want to come back to enjoy a different dish.
View on GoogleI was looking for a place in Kita-Senju where I could grab a quick bite, and went to “Tsuke Soba Sumi”. The calm atmosphere and how easy it is to walk in alone made a good first impression. This time I ordered the “Ra-yu Tsuke Soba”. As a menu item its flavor was well put together, and ordering it was the right call. The dipping broth has umami within its tingling heat, not too spicy, with a balance that lets you fully enjoy the soba’s flavor. The toasty aroma of the ra-yu spreads gently and whets your appetite. The soba itself is nicely firm, clings well to the dipping broth, and I was able to eat it to the end without getting tired of it. The slight sweetness of the fat went well with the heat. The atmosphere is calm and the food comes out fairly quickly, so I think it’s an easy place to use even when you’re short on time. The heat is mild and easy to eat, so if you don’t dislike ra-yu dishes, it’s worth trying once.
View on GoogleI had the No.1 most popular special ra-yu tsuke soba. The firm, umami-packed soba that goes down smoothly is complemented by the ra-yu-infused dipping sauce and the pork, making for a pretty good balance. In the same genre, for some reason soba comes to mind, but this has a more careful and refined seasoning. The soup diluted with sobayu wasn’t heavy and I could really enjoy the flavor. Personally, I think adding a raw egg is a must. Both the master and the mother gave wonderful service, it was great.
View on GoogleTokusei Rayu Niku Tsuke Soba + raw egg 1,000 yen The ra-yu, meat, and raw egg go well together, delicious.
View on GoogleI’ve been a few times, but the other day I ordered the hot umakara soba for the first time! I usually get the kara tsuke soba, but both were delicious! There are 2 staff members and the shop is small, so it seems like it gets crowded quickly at lunchtime The price is normal for a soba shop, but you can eat soba you won’t find anywhere else!
