A kappo restaurant recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a quiet meal in Kitasenju. Just about a 5-minute walk from the station, it sits in an area so peaceful that the surrounding bustle seems unreal, allowing you to dine in a relaxed atmosphere. The monthly changing menu lets you experience the changing seasons. Drink pairings are also available for the course meals, further enhancing the flavors of the food. The thoughtful hospitality, considering not only the dishes but also their compatibility with alcohol, left a strong impression. Do visit when you want to spend a special moment in Kitasenju.

A Japanese restaurant I found in Kitasenju. The course menu seems to change every month. While I imagine that must be hard work, it's enjoyable as a diner. I think it's great that they offer ambitious dishes, including Japanese food incorporating French and Italian elements. Most importantly, the food tastes good too. You can really sense the care put into the preparation. The drink selection also seems thoughtfully chosen, so there should be plenty to enjoy alongside the food. Both the chef-owner and his wife are personable, and it's lovely to enjoy a meal without any formality.

I'd been curious about this restaurant because of its highly rated reviews. The kitchen is very clean, raising my expectations. There are 6 counter seats, 2 tables seating 4, and a table seating 2, run by the chef-owner and his lovely kimono-clad wife. (When I revisited in January of Reiwa 2, there was 1 helper.) Every dish in the course meal is prepared with great care, and the seasoning is just right, never too salty. Our family are huge fans😊 The draft beer served in thin glasses, along with sake and shochu from around Japan, changes every few months, giving you more to enjoy. Highly recommended for drinks and delicious food with a group that isn't too large. Favorites so far -鮎の焼き浸し -焼き胡麻豆腐 -焼き黒胡麻豆腐 -鴨の沢煮碗 The photos are posted in no particular order. No corners are cut in anything. The chef-owner and his wife are beyond wonderful. The food, atmosphere, and prices all reflect their personalities. The prices are far too modest, and I'd be sad if they couldn't keep going, so they should raise them more. 2018 No.1❣️ October. Every dish this month was also filled with soul and love. Food prepared with such care gives me energy. I feel nothing but gratitude. Thank you for the finest food and hospitality, every single time😊 Chef! Madam. Please take care of your health. I'm looking forward to more delicious food. It makes me feel glad to be alive.
