A really adorable little coffee kiosk with limited seating. it seems to be a popular place with the locals and the owner was really friendly and familiar with many of the customers there. i got an iced coffee “mama blend” and it was a delicious blend of bitter and brightness with a faint sweet after taste. the banana bread here was absolutely amazing - well spiced and moist and just dense enough for that perfect banana bread texture, i went back for seconds to bring home to share! during my time there i saw many customers ordering the lemon coffee so i got curious and got a cup too, the owner said it was pretty popular and customers claim it taste like lipton lemon tea and i do agree with thar judgement. it taste like lipton lemon tea with the slight bitter aftertaste of coffee, i think its a really interesting combination and worth a try but i think it is still an acquired taste for sure. i love this place and will definitely be back!
View on GoogleReally wonderful tiny coffee shop. With some rare home roasted specialty coffees. They are all small batch coffees from special places. We got some beans from Honduras, Papua New Guinea and Vietnam, but there’s many more! I believe all the backed goods are home made as well, so definitely give those a try!
View on GoogleI come here often, and whenever I go, the owner welcomes me with a smile—a really pleasant shop. I'd been longing for an easy, delicious coffee shop in the neighborhood, so it's been a real find. The coffee is of course great, but even the decaf has a real coffee aroma and bitterness. Also, the hot lemon made with Setoda lemons (pesticide-free, unwaxed) is recommended when you want something sweet. I often buy biscotti and muffins too, so it's a shop I'd love for sweets lovers to visit as well.
View on GoogleTama-chan Coffee Roastery's night cafe was way too lovely🥹 I've been basking in the afterglow since yesterday and, honestly, my vocabulary still isn't back in order💦 but I'm posting this from the bottom of my heart🌙 I planned to visit Tama-chan Coffee around 8 p.m., but it was so incredibly busy that every seat was taken😮 Even the temporary outdoor terrace seats were full😮 I adjusted my timing a little and was able to sit at a lovely seat inside just before 9 p.m.♬♡ Whenever I visit Tama-chan Coffee Roastery, the shop is overflowing with greenery🍃🌱 It's the kind of space where just sitting there soothes you, and you can feel time flowing by with a calm heart☕ The moment I looked at the menu to order my usual decaf? caffeine-free café latte, I saw recommended wines to enjoy with the cafe snacks🍷 Since it was a special night cafe, I decided to order wine🌙🍷 Rosé & sparkling. Both had an unexpectedly striking attack that made my heart dance💃🏻 The rosé—with the fruitiness that emerges when you take a sip, the clear minerality and herbal notes, and the exquisite blend in which each grape variety's character comes together beautifully—also draws you in with the distinctive color in the glass🍷 The sparkling has fine bubbles plus juicy fruit, with a texture like biting into a fully ripe apple, skin and all🍎 Its catchy sweetness also leaves an impression🍷 And the cafe snacks I'd been eagerly awaiting while sipping wine were, once again🥹 once again, truly wonderful🥹 Peach soup🍑 The components: ︎︎︎︎☑︎Panna cotta ︎︎︎︎☑︎Peach soup ︎︎︎︎☑︎Peach confiture ︎︎︎︎☑︎Peach and grapefruit granita ︎︎︎︎☑︎Plum sauce ︎︎︎︎☑︎Peach Even putting it modestly, isn't this composition amazing?🥹 The flavor has the nostalgia of panna cotta, while the confiture and granita give off a highly refined elegance✨️ This composition of turning peaches into a soup, which to me is new and innovative🤔 is not at the level of something served as a so-called "cafe snack." Yet I think the reason my body can accept it as simply delicious without the slightest hesitation is precisely because this place is Tama-chan Coffee Roastery, located in the shitamachi☕️ Chestnut roll cake🌰 This is exactly what getting a head start on a delicious autumn means🍁🍂 A roll cake with French steamed chestnuts🌰 Inside the smooth, rich cream, the chestnut texture makes a pleasant accent♬♡ My tongue meets the gentle, soft feel of the sponge wrapping it all, and I sigh with happiness again and again🥹 The fresh, juicy sweetness of the fruits was also a luxury🥹 I thoroughly enjoyed the happiest possible pairing of wine and snacks🍷 The owner of Fika is also a truly wonderful person, and while we chatted happily, before I knew it, it was past 10 p.m.🌙 Wonderful people naturally gather around wonderful people, and wonderful places bring wonderful encounters. The cafe snacks created by a wonderful person are delicious and wonderful, and the coffee brewed by a wonderful person tastes deep and wonderful☕️ It reminds me once again that wonderfulness chains together like this (ㅅ˘˘) It all comes down to Tama-chan's wonderful personality, but the place that keeps being supported by so many customers day after day is "Tama Coffee Roaster"☕️ The old men and women of the shops who once worked nonstop without a break to liven up the local shopping street. Every one of them looked after me since I was a little kid. The Daimon Shopping Street, always bustling with their spirited voices raised almost like shouting, is my precious, precious place. I grew up surrounded by merchants like that, who would munch on ice cream with me in front of their shops during summer vacation, and on New Year's Eve would laugh heartily and happily, saying, "Take this, and that too." To the old men and women, the original residents who are no longer with us—couldn't you come back to life, even just for a little while? lol I want you to see how loved Tama-chan Coffee Roastery is by the locals and feel at ease. As seniors, I want you to cheer on this still-young owner, and see how hard they struggle every day while turning what they love into their work. More than any high-end night cafe in Daikanyama, more than any high-rise night cafe overlooking all of Shibuya, the Tama-chan & Fika night cafe was wonderful🌙 I'd also love for many people to take notice of the cafe snacks created by the owner of Fika😋 I'm a newcomer too, but I want to keep encountering their snacks from here on🍪☕️💕 Thank you, Tama-chan☕️ Thank you, Fika🍑 I had a truly wonderful time🌙 Thank you for the meal😋
View on GoogleTama Coffee Roaster, about 1.4 km from the West Exit of JR Kitasenju Station, is a coffee roastery in the Daimon Shopping Street. It sells coffee beans and takeout drinks. To get there: head along Kitasenju Ekimae-dori toward Nikko Kaido, and after crossing it, turn right. Walk about 300 m, then turn left onto the street between "Suzui no Kaban" and a real estate agency. Pass Chakou, and it's just past Futago Sushi (about 500 m from the Senju-Kotobukicho intersection). When I visited around 1 p.m. on a weekend, the exterior—white awning, wood, and large glass windows—was stylish. Looking around, the design stands out as modern. The shop is small; eating in is probably possible for 1–2 people. This time I got takeout. Drink menu: coffee of the day HOT 300 yen / ICE 330 yen, hand-drip coffee HOT 400 yen / ICE 430 yen, café au lait HOT 450 yen / ICE 450 yen, Aomori Prefecture apple juice 380 yen, homemade syrup juice 400 yen. Snack menu: muffin 330 yen, banana bread 350 yen, etc. PayPay accepted. *Coffee of the day ICE 330 yen Rich body and bitterness. Compared to convenience-store coffee, its solid flavor is just what you'd expect from a specialty shop.
