Soba noodle shop

★ 3.826 reviews

This is a Japanese soba noodle shop in Umeda that has been in business for over 50 years since its founding. If you get off at the Umejima Daini Elementary School bus stop on the city bus Kusa 41 that connects Adachi Umeda-cho and Asakusa Kotobuki-cho, you will see the Shinano-an sign. The shop is old, but the taste is good. Tempura soba with the scent of sesame oil, curry nanban with a strong dashi, and nabe-yaki udon are popular, especially in winter. We look forward to your visit. As it is run by an elderly couple, please forgive the irregular holidays.

First visit around 18:30 on a weekday. There were no other customers and I sat down immediately. There is no menu on the table, so I looked at the menu on the wall and ordered tori nanban soba. Overall, the pricing was reasonable. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. I always wonder, why is the green onion for hot soba served on a separate plate? Haha. When I took a sip of the soup, it had a deeper taste than it looked. The soba is also not too long or too short, and it tastes good with a nice texture. I thought it was a delicious shop for the price and very cost-effective. The shop is run by an old couple and they say it has been in business for over 50 years. However..., the attitude of the landlady who does not fawn over customers was a bit funny. I want to come again.

This is a town soba shop like the one pictured. I ordered ten-seiro and jo-tendon, and everything was delicious. The soba is firm and the corners are standing up. The soup feels like a punch with bonito and soy sauce that Tokyoites like, and it goes perfectly with the soba. The jo-tendon has two large shrimp and is not greasy, and the sauce is not too sweet or too spicy, it feels just right. The taste that doesn't get boring makes me finish it in no time. As some comments say, there is no friendliness, but it is a shop that serves delicious food run by an old couple with a craftsman's spirit. If you want to eat delicious food, please come!

The soup for the egg bowl is also delicious. Cold mushroom soba was also cold and delicious. The price is also 450-1400 yen, not too expensive and recommended I'll come again!

Curry don with pork and green onions instead of onions was quite delicious. The pickles and soup are also good.

The noren looked crisp so I felt like going in. Not friendly, but the soba is good. The price is also reasonable. There is a sense of cleanliness. A good old-fashioned soba shop. I want to go occasionally.
