The exterior has a very retro atmosphere, so I wondered if it might be a little old-fashioned. But when I went inside, the interior felt modern and was very nice and clean. When I was a little stuck because I did not know how to cook it, they immediately spoke to me and offered cooking advice (when I said it was my first time, they cooked it for me, but they told the customers next to me, 「Here, the customers do the cooking,」 while still helping them at the beginning, haha). I added mochi, mentaiko, and pork to the monja, and its sauce was wonderfully aromatic and delicious. There were some negative reviews, but the woman running the shop is a 「brisk, spirited shitamachi mother」 in a good way, so it might not suit people who dislike straightforward, emphatic service.
View on GoogleVery pleasant, and the cleanliness is excellent. It makes me want to go again,
View on GoogleI went to eat okonomiyaki and monja. I was surprised to see 2 grandmas and a grandpa working inside. The shop has such a homey appearance that I wondered if they live there. Anyway, I could enjoy my meal feeling nostalgic, and it made me feel like I had come home to eatꉂ🤣𐤔 The food was delicious too, and I even ordered more👭 I would like to visit again😊 Coronavirus is starting to settle down, but I think restaurants in particular still have a tough time. I am rooting for you🔥
View on GoogleI wanted to cook and eat while chatting with my friend, but an old lady wearing glasses told us, 「Hurry up and cook it💢💢」. I apologized, but in the end she put the meat and other ingredients on the griddle with her bare hands and started cooking, so I lost my appetite. Even when we were discussing how to split the bill, although closing time was 23:00, at 20:00 she was already saying nonsensical things like 「Hurry up💢」 and 「If you do not hurry, I am going to the police💢💢」. On top of that, she took my smartphone and said she would not return it until I paid, which was practically criminal behavior. I will not go again
View on GoogleI recently went with my daughter (2) Now, a 2-year-old cannot eat without things like a spoon, fork, and small plate, and then… I said to a staff member, 「Excuse me」 Staff: 「Yes」 Me: 「Please give me a small plate, fork, and spoon for my child」, and the moment I said that, Staff: 「Huh? She can eat with chopsticks, right? That is what the chopsticks are there for💢」 At first I thought, (Oh, maybe they are going to bring the kind of chopsticks children use for practice) Me: 「Oh, sorry… then please give me children's chopsticks」, but they handed me disposable chopsticks, and adult-sized ones at that (not short ones)… Staff: 「You should listen to what people say, or your child will become stupid too」 What? I got really furious For the moment I fed my child myself, but at that age eating and holding utensils are still things they are practicing, so I do not really recommend this place
