The bento are absolutely delicious. I started eating them after a recommendation from someone who's particular (picky) about flavor, especially seasoning oils. When the person who recommended it or someone joining us for lunch is coming from the direction of this shop, I often ask them to pick some up since they're tasty even cold, and on those days we always hold our work meetings over bento. Also, frankly, they're cheap. I haven't tried every bento yet, but I've decided I'll definitely try them all at least once. With bento this satisfying, I'm sure the other items are good too, but I plan to try every kind of bento first.
View on GoogleThe rice they use is delicious, so both the onigiri and bento are tasty, and the portions are generous too. The savory breads are packed with filling, no comparison to convenience store ones. The ladies are friendly and pleasant; I've been a regular for many years.
View on GoogleThe Hokima one has closed, huh…. Please keep this one going for a long time! No need to go all the way to Popo in Nishi-Nippori. Adachi Ward has Sankei!
View on GoogleA sandwich shop that's been around for ages They also have bento and onigiri. There are about 15–20 kinds of sandwiches, ranging from around 150 yen to 350 yen. The 180 yen ones are mini-sized, so you can enjoy lots of different flavors. A medium onigiri is 210 yen each, a bit large and packed with filling; the aroma of the nori and the saltiness are just right, delicious! Overall it's a bit pricey, but the generous fillings make it satisfying; for a woman, one is enough to get full. Onigiri often aren't on display at the counter, so they make them after you order. For men, the yakiniku bento and such seem popular too!
View on GoogleMixed, ham cutlet, vegetable, pork & cheese, all simple and delicious! The taste of what I used to buy and eat on the way home from club activities long ago! Back in the 1980s there were still lots of comforting shops like this! My recommendation is the vegetable one! Light on mayo with a potato flavor, I really love it! ^_^ Didn't I just buy some the other day? But whenever I pass nearby I always end up buying! (lol)
