Few walks from where I stayed. Staffs were very kind, approachable and polite. They did their best to assist me and even taught me how to properly eat the soba. Their menu has reasonable price; I ordered Totoro Soba and I loved it. I also liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It feels like an OG 2000’s Japanese style/aesthetic.

Never been to but always looks lively and popular among locals. Planning to visit with some Japanese friends or after leanring Japanese.

2025.5.10 (Saturday), my first visit for lunch. The soba came with a fairly strong, rich dipping sauce with a slightly pronounced kaeshi and plenty of dashi flavor, and the noodles went down smoothly. There is a good selection of both sake and shochu, and they even have gin (Gordon, Tanqueray). There are plenty of snacks too, from classic soba-mae to sashimi and various seasonal tempura, so it seems good for daytime drinks as well. The service was very polite, and both female staff members (they have a similar vibe—mother and daughter?) were kind and attentive. If I had to mention a drawback, the tempura frying was disappointing (the batter was thick, heavy, and hard, like fritters). But overall, considering the selection, prices, atmosphere, and so on, it is a good restaurant, so I will stop by again.

My first visit was at lunchtime. I had the ebi ten seiro. The handmade soto-ni soba made with Hokkaido buckwheat flour was very delicious, and the dipping sauce had a balanced, straightforward flavor that suited my taste. Besides 2 shrimp, there were eggplant and green pepper; the frying was crisp yet tender, and the tempura dipping sauce tasted good too. I think 1,070円 for this is excellent value. It is a little far from my home, but the service was polite and I liked it very much, so I would like to keep coming for a while. It is a very good restaurant.

This set menu was so satisfying. Tempura, dashimaki, sashimi, yakko, and other small side dishes. It comes with rice and soba. So filling! The service is polite and kind too. It seems to become an izakaya at night. The kind of place that makes you want to keep a bottle there. Thank you for the meal.
