A popular restaurant representing 北千住, with frequent media coverage. The signature 「明太もちチーズ」 and generously portioned 「キムチチャーハン」 are must-orders! The interior is cramped, and smells cling to your clothes, so wear something you don't mind getting smelly. Walk-ins were being turned away, so calling ahead to reserve is essential, even on the same day.

One of the best restaurants not just in Tokyo, but on a trip through Japan! All the teppan dishes, including monjayaki, were delicious. Waiting and reservations are already necessary, but if I visit Kitasenju, I'll definitely stop by!! The owner was so kind that the meal itself was a delightful time!!

I enjoyed monja for the first time in a while at 名月 in 北千住. The dashi was pronounced, with a different depth of umami from the very first bite. The heat of the griddle gently brought out the aromas of seafood like scallops and shrimp, instantly boosting my appetite. The 「キムチカルビチャーハン」 we ordered to finish was excellent too, with a perfect balance of griddle-toasted aroma and mild heat. It was a place I'd happily return to with confidence, where you can enjoy various teppan dishes in one visit, from monja and okonomiyaki to stir-fries.

The owners were so kind, and the food was delicious too. 9 of us visited and ordered a variety of dishes, and I still think about the yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and grilled chicken (salt-grilled). If you order the salt-grilled chicken, I guarantee it'll be even better if you add mixed vegetables and stir-fry them together~~ It was the best restaurant in Japan! (If you're a large group, be sure to reserve~~)
