The cafe I go to as part of my usual morning routine was unexpectedly closed. My morning rhythm nearly fell apart, but it felt like a waste to just go home, so I switched gears and headed to Max Cafe Ayase Ekimae. Honestly, at first I was only treating it as a "pinch hitter," but in the end it turned out to be pretty great. The interior has a calm atmosphere, and even in the morning it isn't noisy — just the right amount of quiet. The coffee is smooth and easy to drink, with no odd notes, and it sinks right into a just-woken-up brain. Just having a "cup that properly wakes you up" like this sets the day off right. The seats are spaced comfortably, so opening a laptop for some light work is stress-free. The staff keep just the right distance too, not intruding on your morning, which I personally liked a lot. On days when your usual routine falls apart, your mood tends to drop, but finding a "substitute that actually works" like this was a big win. If anything, I'd now happily use it as one of my regular options. As a refuge for when you become a "morning cafe refugee," this is a place I can highly recommend.
View on GoogleFiiinally open✨️ I've been waiting❣️ The interior is as calm as before, so I could enjoy some relaxing time with peace of mind. Prices are on the high side, so I can't go often, but I'd like to keep visiting😊 The iced coffee was very good. There was a lot of ice, so next time maybe I'll try ordering it "with less ice"🧊🥤 (5/6 Less ice! They happily agreed😊) The staff served me with a smile too, so I had a pleasant time~ Next time I'll come with my daughter and friends🎶 I wonder when the other branches will open~
View on GoogleA cafe I found while walking near the station. The interior is roomy, there are outlets🔌 too, so it's an easy place to relax while charging up for a bit. What I had was chai. Properly spicy, lightly sweet, and delicious. I went in without expecting much, but it's become a cafe I want to come back to.
View on GoogleCame after hearing it had reopened after renovation. The coffee is decently good. The Basque cheesecake was tasty too. Maybe because it's meant for people who stay a long time, I feel like the price has that built in.
View on GoogleThe food is based on light seasoning with the occasional stronger dish, and the value isn't bad. The atmosphere is like any typical restaurant. However, when I walked in, a middle-aged male staff member pointed and said "breakfast tickets over there" — bad attitude. I was just walking normally when he pointed at me, so at first I couldn't even tell if he was talking to me. The young guy seemed clumsy. He spoke so quietly I could barely hear him. My order was finished without him asking about the set drink. Later a female staff member asked when serving, "Your meal comes with a drink — what would you like?" Feels like the training isn't really thorough.
