I believe I visited at lunchtime on a weekday This appearance… An exterior that feels incredibly historic The noren curtain was hanging, but the vibe made me unsure if they were open I worked up a little courage and went in ・Bottled beer 600 yen ・Nigiri of my choice (I think) At first it was hard to strike up a conversation, but once we talked, the chef was a really nice person and told me about the history of this area. Inside are photos of the town from about 70 years ago?? Ranging from when the chef was still a child to the previous generation's. It seems the shop took a break for a while when the chef fell ill, but now it seems to be open only during the day. For the restroom, you borrow the toilet in the attached home. It was a curious place with almost no Tabelog posts, but it turned out to be a sushi shop with a tremendous history. The sushi shop nearby with the wonderfully atmospheric sign that looks about to collapse apparently originated from here. (They're apparently relatives) The stories from back when this area, including Yoshiwara, was very lively were really memorable. This is the real joy of a neighborhood sushi shop. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleThe shop across the street is unusually famous, but my impression is that it's more or less what you pay for; this one is high quality and relaxing.
