I visited when lunch time and didnt waited. Ordered ramen set which the portion was so huge. But the fried rice was so delicious. Wanna comeback sometimes to try another menu!
View on GoogleI learned about this place online; even though it's in the same ward, I'd never been, but I got the chance to visit. What I really wanted was tanmen, but [I went for] the famous ramen and fried rice set; being on my own, I sat at the counter, which has 2 seats. Going back a bit—typical of individually run shops, I arrived 10 minutes before opening and was let in, but a customer who came in after me said it hadn't been open, so it's luck. Reviews said the Chinese soup is delicious, so I ordered the ramen set with the same flavor; when the bowl arrived, the soup was tasty, with a film of oil on top, but not scorching hot like chan-kei style—this kind of shoyu flavor was a first for me. Noodles were medium-thin, I guess? As I'd studied up, I ate the ramen and then the fried rice; it looks like a small amount, it's somewhere between moist and fluffy, but it feels heavy—a tasty fried rice. I took half home (sweat). Quite a lot of people were ordering tanmen, so next time that—anyway, it looks like I'll be coming to this shop more often. Expectations high for my beloved tanmen; when the bowl arrived it looked like a normal amount, but even as I ate it didn't seem to go down, there were surprisingly many vegetables too, and what surprised me was that there were lots of good pork slices, tasty. But as for the all-important soup, at first I thought it was the same as the shoyu, but it's a slightly spicy tanmen with ginger? kicking in—for me, who thinks of tanmen as a gentle flavor, it's iffy, but maybe this works too?
View on GoogleOrdered chashu men, stamina meat stir-fry, and fried rice. The fried rice is the textbook “The machi-chuka” flavor. It comes with a soup with a strong shoyu kick. The stamina meat stir-fry is relatively spicy. This one plate alone could carry a large bowl of rice. The chashu men is a shoyu-based ramen with extra-thick chashu. The soup is an exquisite curveball that lands right in the strike zone. At lunchtime it was full, with a line extending outside the shop. It was a wonderful taste worthy of its reputation as a famous restaurant.
View on GoogleI've lived in this area for 8 years and visited for the first time. I was shocked. The fried rice is delicious! No wonder it gets crowded 😂 If anything, I regret having passed this place by for 8 years. The cheap lunch set—serving this much for 750 yen these days—I thought was an unbeatable price. And the seasoning makes you grin, like “yep, this is machi-chuka”! Both value and taste get 5 points! There are lots of people from the nearby waste incineration plant and such, so I guess that's how it gets by given the location, but I can strongly recommend it.
View on GoogleA place with high satisfaction in both volume and taste. The dishes come in solid portions, the seasoning is careful and delicious, and overall it's very satisfying. However, since the manager does all the cooking alone, note that it takes a while for food to be served. I recommend going when you have time to spare.
